Cool so I should able to pay for me and...holy shit I got like 6-7 members in my family who I would need to pay for not counting me...and then the jerseys...yeah it's a tradition for me to buy jerseys for my family... Well this is going to be a fun terminal leave.
I should have quoted the source but that was the official average (paid for) seat. I'm sure some people paid less and some even more but regardless there were a lot of empty seats due to high priced seats. Once they wanted to roll back the ticket costs it was too late.
Well I am hoping that the tickets stay around that range. I really want to take my little siblings to their first Colombian game.

Don Jesurún also said recently that the plan is for the Seleccion to play in all four cities that will host in Colombia during the Group Stage. I have been advocating for that recently so it would make me happy if it turns out to be the case. Significantly since fans in major cities like Medellín and Cali were not able to see Colombia play in the 2001 Copa. Love or hate Queiroz he did say that he wants this Copa to be something the Whole Country gets behind because the Seleccion belongs to everyone. He wants to see the whole Country with flags celebrating. I have been saying that for years. Even though Barranquilla is the heart and home of the Seleccion it is nice to have other matches in other places to ignite the passion all around. Glad we have the opportunity to do it in Official matches next summer.
While I do like the NT playing all over for it's people to enjoy, I always prefer a home base of matches where they can get properly settled and there is no travel lag. That being said if 4 out of 6 make it to the next phase it should give us some breathing room. I'm hoping that in our group we don't kick off vs Brazil or Venezuela, with the latter always being a thorn in our side. Are the QF stages then mixed between North and South zones? Will they be seeded or random draw for the QF, Semi stage?
I understand that and in 2001 Barranquilla was the base of the group stage and it worked well. But in most other tournaments outside of South America host teams rarely play all their home matches in the same venue and find ways to be successful so hopefully we can too. If we do get either one of those teams you mention first then I hope the first match is in Bogota because I think the altitude would help us. Yes, the QF stages will be mixed. Nothing has been finalized yet officially but the Rumor I have been hearing is naturally the third and fourth placed teams having to do all the traveling to the other country. Now if Colombia or Argentina somehow finish in third or fourth in their respective Groups there will be an issue since I don't think either one wants to travel obviously since they are hosts. It will be interesting to see how that is resolved Personally I think if Colombia or Argentina don't finish top 2 they deserve to fly all the way across the continent and be punished..
That qualifying round we played in Bogota back in the day(I think it was Pinto's plan) never played to our advantage. Now with mostly, internationals playing abroad I don't think this is a +. In fact, when we play teams like Ecuador, who have many home-based players used to the altitude, this strategy may help them and hurt us.
I would also prefer one home base, Barranquilla of course. I like the idea to play in the major cities for the fans, but professionally in my opinion the best way to succeed will to play in Quilla only (or other home ground, not Bogota). Too much flights don't help to the fatigue, I don't like.

Colombia's first game at the 2020 Copa America will be against Ecuador on 13 June at El Campín in Bogotá.A win and they've probably qualified.— Carl Worswick (@cworswick) December 4, 2019 We also got Qatar.
Sweet, they play in Medellin against Peru 2 days before my terminal leave ends. My cousin is already talking about the tickets and looking up the prices. If I dont need to come back immediately I may travel to see the brazil game.
That would be awesome if you can make a game! I thought about a trip next summer to Colombia but I got a couple of weddings to go to that will make a Colombia out of the picture Keep us posted!
It would be my second tournament since me and @J-Mezzy attended the group stages matches from the 2016 edition in the USA. Would be pretty epic to see the team play in Colombia for the first time in my life and in a tournament too.
