You're confusing Austria Wien for Rapid Wien.

Wrong club. EPB is at Austria Wien, not Rapid Wien.

Anyway, Austria Wien also won 2-0 today. EPB played 90.

Only their second win after eight games played out of a 22 games regular season.

They got destroyed 5-2 today and they're out of the cup in the R32 (early for Austria).

If they lost 5-2, probably poorly.

Yeah, but this is EPB and nobody is actually expecting him to shine any more. We just want him to be the cleanest dirty shirt. :(

After losing to Salzburg 4-1, Vienna is once again 9 out of 12 and solidly in the relegation group (bottom half of the table). This is extraordinary for the team that has won the league and the cup the most times in the country, and has never been relegated.

Last season they finished fourth, and it was considered a bad season for their standards. If EPB helps them get relegated, it's going to be an even bigger scalp than Wood with Hamburg.

Austria Wien beat Sturm Graz 1-0, moving to 7th in the table, 1 pt out of 6th place and the championship round.

EPB at least not taken off after being responsible for a goal...I know nothing more

Sorry, can you rephrase? Was he taken off after being responsible for the goal or was he taken off not because he was responsible for the goal, for some other reason?

It was 0-0 at the half, so he definitely wasn't responsible for giving up a goal. Sturm Graz was shutout for the entire match.

The Good: Austria is back to its winning ways.

The Bad: This turn of fortune started when they sent EPB to the bench.

The Ugly: Not in the 18 today and apparently not injured.

He started their last 4 games prior to today, so this is factually incorrect.

Last game they took him out at the half, after that scored and held the lead.

Today they're up 2-1 and controlling the game, with EPB nowhere in sight.

Not saying it's related, but they're looking a lot better in the 115 minutes they've played without him around.

We're always warned that correlation isn't causation, but this ain't good. And it isn't the first season either.

The Austrian BL is poor quality, definitely not the level City would willingly loan their development players to (that includes their develop-to-sell players), yet after a half-season in the Jupiler and a full season in the Eredivisie this was the best they could find for EPB.

If he can't nail down a starting place at this level, when and where will he?

Well they got unlucky in the end but a tie away to a team above them on the table is still a positive result, by comparison.

I try not to post in this forum, but this is one of the exceptions I'll make because I don't want people to be misinformed.

You have portrayed that he came out at halftime in the last game due to performance, but it was due to thigh problems. A routine search (here's a match report from the official website: http://www.fk-austria.at/en/redakti...-austria-wien---s-home-victory-against-sturm/) would yield that result.

He didn't play in the reserves when they played a few days ago, and usually players who are "benched" don't drop out of the 18 completely. Everyone can draw their own conclusions. I'll go with a thigh injury.

I don't think any of us liked this move, but the negativity some of you spout about him now is ridiculous. He's started every game he's been in the team for. I've not seen one person suggest they actually have watched him play since moving to this team, so I don't know how any of you are portraying his play negatively.
