The Jong Oranje looks very strong on paper.... led by the AZ quartet. Add Dilrosun, Kluivert, Schuurs and Van Drongelen (all with plenty of first-team experience already in their respective clubs). Wow, this team can make noise if they click!

Goalkeepers: Kjell Scherpen (Ajax), Maarten Paes (FC Utrecht), Justin Bijlow (Feyenoord)

Defenders: Perr Schuurs (Ajax), Owen Wijndal (AZ), Deyovaisio Zeefuik (FC Groningen), Justin Hoogman (FC Utrecht), Rick van Drongelen (Hamburg), Sherel Floranus (SC Heerenveen), Danilho Doekhi (Vitesse)

Midfielders: Noa Lang (Ajax), Dani de Wit (AZ), Teun Koopmeiners (AZ), Ludovit Reis (FC Barcelona), Abdou Harroui (Sparta), Ferdi Kadioglu (Fenerbahce)

Attackers: Justin Kluivert (AS Roma), Calvin Stengs (AZ), Myron Boadu (AZ), Javairo Dilrosun (Hertha BSC), Cody Gakpo (PSV)

Wow...yeah this team is stacked actually (IMO).

    Bijlow
    Zeefuik - Schuurs - Drongelen - Wijndal
    Koopmeiners - Reis
    Dilrosun - Stengs - Kluivert
    Boadu

    Very, very strong.

It was only about a year ago that we were all moaning about the future of Dutch football. We are now producing great defenders, MFs, and now at this level attackers. the one thing we still don't have is a world class keeper. I wonder if either Bijlow or Scherpen will mature to that level.

Wow really strong team, and that's even without Ihattaren and Kokcu!

  7. So, who would have to make place for Dest in that setting?

Understandable. I wonder what constitutes a talent for them, up until what age? Depending on that I think Unuvar and Malen could also be included in this list.

they do it by birth year. Malen is too old and Unuvar too young.

AZ Alkmaar... err, I meant, Jong Oranje defeated Portugal U21, 4-2.

    Boadu with 2 goals
    Koopmeiners 1 goal (penalty)
Stengs 1 goal and 2 assists!

Sitting pretty on top of the qualifying group. 2 W's in 2 matches.

  14. What a shit site the KNVB has. I wanted to see what's going on around the WC U17 in Brasil, where we are part of. Nothing. Under the Orange youth link you get a load of very old shit.

J.O with a simple victory over Norway 4-0. 3 wins in 3 matches now.

Stengs with a fabulous strike. :geek:

It's disappointing that Brian Brobbey missed out due to injury, so I guess Naoufal Bannis is the point man on the attack. Otherwise, looks like a pretty loaded squad with promising talents... Unuvar, Hoever, Maatsen, Taylor, Resch and Braaf. Hope they gel!

Simons is overrated. He will never be a star for the Netherlands.

I don't see why this group can't also win the U17 WC. France will once again be among the top teams, but otherwise I don't see another team out there that should challenge them. Obviously form is important but this team has shown to be a class above others in their age group.

Not sure we know how good some of the South American teams are.

What do we know about Romano Postema? He seems to be emerging and has put up good numbers and is already seeing time in the Eredivisie for Groningen even though he's just 17. One of four 2002 born players that have played more than 1 sub appearance (the others being Ihattaren, Bannis and Westerman).
