a record amount of teams are playing today, There's got to be something for everyone. Hopefully we'll hear from our half dozen forum regulars, though blissett can be forgiven since he ight of suffered a mild heart attack after Italy failed to score after their first 70 mins. vs mighty Malta, lol. Here's today's schedule

Summary - UEFA Women's Championship - Europe - Results, fixtures, tables and news - Women Soccerway

as for me, I still a bit bias for Germany, considerong how the US looked burned out the last couple of ames featuring the same old, same old lineup, i do feeel Germany is the hottest team in the world right now. Coach MVT was wrong to give her 'pups' so much playng time in the WC, but now she's reaping the benefits for it as the 18 year old Klara Buhl is the leading scorer for all Euro qualifier squads NVT also scrambled & picked several nwebies form the the current, hot Hoffenehim club. So far they havn't got any playing time but you would figure perhaps today against a weaker Greece squad. Germany so far blew apart their 3 qualifers with the total score of 36-0. Lets see if they contiue their mass destruction!

Luckily for me, I missed the match vs Malta, so I didn't risk too much of a heartache. :giggle:

At the moment, the match vs Bosnia Herzegovina is going much better: Italy leads by 2-0 at HT, had some more goal chances and especially is playing quite well: 79% possession, no risk whatsoever in defense and good combination actions in attack. Since Bosnia, despite being quite poor, was considered the 3rd force in this group, and in fact made 6 points against the minions and only lost by 2-0 to Denmark, I guess Italy, for a change, is doing a good job at the moment.

I guess the fact that Italy's league started so late somehow crippled players' conditioning, but it looks like at this point they're coming out of it: the team I had seen vs Israel last month was seriously lacking physical fitness, the one I see today looks much better. Although Denmark's goal difference is virtually out of reach, I am confident that Italy could score again in 2nd half in this match.

Perhaps worth knowing is that Sweden was in both matches missing half of their four star/core* players and three other experienced players. So the next generation are doing just fine.

    * Seger and Fisher out for medical reasons while Lindahl and Asllani played.

Germany certainly seem to be rolling... But their group is cake and they haven't even faced the #2 team yet. Hard to argue with nearly 8 goals per game, though. Same with Norway.

Netherlands, Denmark, and Italy are also looking pretty comfy. Funny to see Kosovo and Russia tied!

VAR will be used in the UEFA Women's Champions League final and alongside goal-line technology at UEFA Women's EURO 2021.

can't find the UEFA woso rankings, but FIFA got #25 Ukraine over #32 Ireland. Germany's all ready played their two game series with UKR, coming out with identical, 8-0 blowouts(so take it then

ahsame for Ukraine that they couldn't build on their upset win over Sweden in last fall's WC qualifiers. Definitely a lack of support at home as less than a thousand showed up for the recent German game even though it was played in Kiev's major/national stadium.

can't say enuff; Germany's future looks bright! Coach MVT's pup's are maturing. Cheking the highlights , the 17 year old Oberdorf scores GE's 2nd goal, a newbie from Freiburg, Starke, scores the 3rd. 4th goal on the break(a rarity among the possession minded Germans), done by Pauline Bremer(could she be returning to her pre injuries, sensational 2014 u20 WC form?).last but not least, 18 year old Klara Buhl's goal(could this be finally Germany's foray into the world of athletic forwards? lol)

and even after all this MVT is still holding wild cards as she's yet to unleash any players from the current phenom, ,Hoffenheim club

the fwd with the sort of mohawk hair style looks like a possible up & coming star for Italy, What's her name & how old is she?

The ranking used for the qualification seedings had Ukraine at 17 and Ireland at 21.You can find them on the UEFA website in the Euros section.

You’re thinking of the UEFA coefficient, which UEFA uses for its own tournaments and ranks sides solely within UEFA.

Manuela Giugliano is just 22 and she was part of the team that won Bronze Medal at U-17 WWC 2014 in Costa Rica (some of them made Senior NT in the subsequent years: Valentina Bergamaschi, Lisa Boattin, Annamaria Serturini, but Giugliano has surely grown into the most high-profile one among those U-17 bronze-medalists).

The interesting part is that she's not a FW at all (and it could somehow be seen from the fact that she only converted one of the three clear cut chances she had in the match vs Bosnia): she's always been a MF, but in the last match coach Bartolini tried to move her forward, alongside Girelli and Giacinti.

It could have been a move that was made only to break this particular opponent and that won't be repeated against more solid teams like Denmark, but it could even be that, while Bonansea keeps being out injured, Bartolini wants to try Giugliano again as an offensive midfielder. We're going to see in the next games.

I'm hoping for the same factor with Norway. They started this autumn with three away games and will play their first home qualifier post-WC in November in Stavanger. The highly promoted England friendly in September drew +10 000, but the first competitive qualifier against less attractive opponents (Northern Ireland) will be a litmus test if Gresshoppene are winning ground in the public eye. I'm guessing the attendance will end up somewhere in the 5000 to 10000 range. Probably the lower end of that. News on the ticket sales will come soon.

an update.; Hoffenheim has just beaten Bayern Munich, to take over a solid 2nd place in the Budesliga. The implications should be enormous; Munich had 13 former & current German NT's on it's roster, including 8 that made the WC squad, plus another 4 internationals that played at the recent WC as well

Hoffenheim; zero WC players. if, NT coach MVT ever implement some of Hoff. players into her squad, I think Germany will be a LOCK IN to win the Euros in 2021.

3 new full game replays have emerged,
in vivid color--- change that to orange color; Holland vs Russia

Spain vs Czechsolvania, was expecting more from those wild n crazy Czechs, but they ain't no Steve Martin

    France vs Kazakhstan
the French playing in their pj's don't look like they woke up till the 2nd half. Kinda surreal, their seems to be dark clad security, but no fans in the background
