LOVELY little flick pass for the assist from you know who :)

Even Bats couldn't screw that up. Well, he could... obviously. But on this occasion he didn't.

A great assist by you-know-who and a very nice celebration with his teammate Batsman afterwards :)

Nice goal against an exhausted defence.

He's been superb. if only he was just coming toward the end of his contract and being offered talks at Barca all the time :D

The thing is, his play has generally been fine. Not great, but fine. That's why his not even being on the bench against Lille was so strange. Because I look at CHO's performance today, and I don't see a player who's a default starter.

Yes, to-recap you don't like Barkley, you don't rate Mount, You took a swipe at Kante in another thread and now CHO is not that great to start. Any other Chelsea players you hate? May I remind you that we won the game AWAY 4-1 which is always a decent result in football.

    We played with swagger.

    Oh, I agree totally.
I do believe CHO is a superior talent to Pulisic, but not by leaps and bounds and as with all young players, neither has reached their potential plateau yet.
The difference has been that CHO has made things happen.

Thought he was fine today and working off the rust. He is quite aggressive (a good thing in this league) and could do with some precision to his game but can certainly see the potential (some of it already being realized).

Lampard provoking competition is a good thing too and enjoyable to see pulisic respond with a tidy assist. Even if he was lackadaisical running the touchline in his warm up :D

I think they're pretty different players, actually - CHO is far more direct, Pulisic prefers playing in half spaces more. But CHO didn't have a great game today, for example, and Mount isn't very good on the wing - some of that should have been time for Pulisic. I don't by any means think he should be a default starter. But it seems crazy to me to play Mount 3 times in one week when one of those starts could easily go to Pulisic, or a half off the bench, at least. Even if people take the view that Pulisic's price tag overrates him (which is a perfectly valid argument), he's been adequate enough when on the pitch. And it's not as if Pedro needs the playing time to improve.

Mount played today. He only scored once and he should have scored at least two. But as long as he scores goals, cannot really fault the lad. Football is about scoring goals.

Missing 1v1s counts for more in la la land

Good result. Team is a bit like a chicken with its head cut off. A really talented chicken.

CHO/Mount’s play over the course of 90 minutes leaves a lot to be desired. Willian with an excellent renaissance.. nauseating how many times you think he’s past it then starts turning up. I’ll take it I guess?

Which is a problem for Pulisic, he may need to add to his game to stay competitive in this side.
It seem abundantly clear, that despite the multiple formations Lampard has used, he is going to use two(more or less) pure wingers.
CHO has shown he can do that, I haven't seen this Pulisic kid enough to comment on his ability to do so, but it may be a reason he's not seeing time on the pitch.

I don't really agree with that - Lampard has been willing to use Mount on the wing, and he's very much not a pure winger. Some of his formations have used wingbacks too.
As for Pulisic, of course he'll have to improve - if he stays the same player he was when we bought him, it'll be a huge disappointment. He was bought for his talent, not his current levels of performance.

But, thats the point isn't it?
Pulisic needs to put that in his game, become very good at it, so when Mount isn't picked for the center of the park, he's not going to be put on the wing.
Which, by the way, he's really shown no real reason to continually do so.

As a Chelsea fan, it's great to have all these options.

4 assists from Pulisic in 7 appearances. The cleverness is what he brings to the table. Great little 1-2 with Bats.

Great win to head into the break. We've now won the last three games, which we needed to do.

I don't think we were at our best today but if you can win 4-1 away from home without being at your best then it says a lot I think! Willian showed today why all his 'haters' don't really know what they're talking about, have we FINALLY found a 20+ goal a season goalscorer in Abraham? :)

I think given how Pulisic and Mount have played when Mount is on the wing, Mount shouldn’t be playing there now.

Tammy scores goals. Doesn't seem able to play a full 90 mins. Looks very awkward at times. BUT he scores goals and football is about scoring goals. AND he is 100% committed unlike that sulky sack of shit Moratta.

And Kante scored. Do you think Kovacic will ever get a goal for us? It is long over due, I hope he gets one soon, he deserves it for sure. Not Kante's finest ever performance, but still, he is resourceful and has a great capacity for change with total professionalism.

4 goals today from four different players that is always good for a team.

Good result today, which is the important thing. Let’s hope we can clean up some of the lax play at the back, though hopefully that will come with Rudiger’s return.

The point about developing the side and creating competition is that it's a lot easier if you're winning games whilst you're doing it.

If you're doing it but losing, the natives start getting restless.
