Here we go. We need to win. We need 3 points. Barkley? Spilling his chips. Chipgate. Chelsea midfielder Ross Barkley was "naive to be out before a Champions League game" after being pictured in a row with a taxi driver in Liverpool on Sunday night, said boss Frank Lampard. Barkley reportedly spilled chips on the floor of the taxi and had an argument over money, with police involved. "In terms of permission I don't expect to be asked for that. He hasn't committed a crime, apart from eating chips in a taxi," said Lampard. "I feel for the cabbie and I think he has been naive to be out before a Champions League game - he has admitted that," added Lampard. "I like Ross, I have had no problem with him and he has admitted he made a mistake. I will take that at face value and move on." Scousers eh.
So what happened on Ross's big night out? https://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/news...police-after-dropping-chips-in-cab/ar-AAI4r75 Ross Barkley was escorted to a cashpoint by police after dropping his kebab and chips in the back of a taxi and refusing to pay the cleaning bill.
Im torn, I don't think we are very likely to win the Champions league this season and I half want us to use the competition for a bit of experimentation (not very ethical I know), I expect Pulisic to start, he needs to take this opportunity or else the Americans amongst us will go into meltdown! Is Kante fit to play? How string is the opposition? I don't know much about them.
stop the blaming american fans crap. regardless of nationality, as it has been mentioned numerous times, the discussion is that the club has a young exciting player that fills a tactical hole that we need that is being overlooked behind an ageing and under-performing player. people wanted CHO to play over pedro last year too. it has nothing to do with him being american, not in the chelsea forum at least.
I disagree with you on that and anybody reading the posts relating to Pulisic know that there is something else going on here which is particular to here and it is not so much an issue in the UK fan base and forums. That said let us hope he gets a game tonight and scores. Surely the kebab dropper can't start?
Read ur posts you are the one melting down. I mean you com ppl l as in about talking as about him and again bring him up.
Kurt Zouma and striker Olivier Giroud are both available. Not sure on Kante. Antonio Rudiger, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Emerson Palmieri all still out injured. I think we might see something like this: Chelsea: Arrizabalaga; Azpilicueta, Christensen, Tomori, Alonso; Jorginho, Kovacic; CHO/Pulisic, Mount, Willian; Abraham
They are a young side. Lille had the youngest starting XI in the first round of Champions League group games - with an average age of 23 years and 277 days against Ajax.
Team: Kepa James Zouma Tomori Dave Kante Jorginho Alonso Willian Tammy Mount Caballero Christensen Pedro Kovacic CHO Batshuayi Giroud
Interesting selection, I would not have guessed that. Bit lacking in creativity, playing for a draw? Hope that I am wrong and we score a hat full. BT sport see them lining up with Dave and James swapped with respect to the formation above
Was listening to Chelsea TV and they think it's James inside with Dave outside to cope with Lille's pace up front. Thinking that's probably the case. In terms of creativity, it'll be similar to Brighton I think. Playing centrally to break the lines.
Leaving aside who is and who's not there, that looks a decent line-up. Not sure about Kurt in the back line, though.

When I made the comment about creativity I had missed Jorginho in there
Apart from Dave and Alonso they have all scored in recent games though. Odd selection. But Frank has a strategic plan for this game and that is a good thing for a coach to have.
last time tudnxtra app showed it now that does not work with Directv login, hate this segmented u need 48,684 streaming service crap to watch one team
tomori is REALLY good at stepping up at the right time and baiting an attacker in to overplaying and taking the ball away, however, his first touch on the dribble often seems kind of heavy, he always seems really anxious to push and run and get forward and break that line. if often works out because he is really fast, but when it doesn't it's a turnover.
