I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the people who voted January 20, 2020 might still lose the Impeachment Pool.

Precisely. My belief is that we should expect months of this inquiry, so as to have the impeachment vote close to the election.

Well yeah. Your rules were ridiculously specific:

The poll question: On what day (of which month of which year) does the U.S. House of Representatives vote - on the floor - on articles of impeachment for U.S. President Donald Trump?

The impeachment of WJC for the high crimes of Oval Office BJs started Oct.8 right before the 1998 election. Articles of impeachment were sent to the senate on Dec. 18, 1998 and he was acquitted on Feb. 12, 2019. I think it went fast because once the gooey blue dress came to light, our Republican moralists had their AHA! moment.

More on the blue dress. Amazing how far the whole Lewinsky affair went when you compare it to the many Trump crimes right out in the open.

    Moving the goal post....lol.
Actually, since I already lost to poll, I am fine with dragging this way into 2020. The more mud they can dig out, the better. Force the R's, specially in the Senate, to speak up and choose a side as well.

Oh I am not moving the goalposts...it was and remains my belief that what Trump did with James Comey (and admitting it on TV) is an impeachable act and Democrats should have made it their first vote upon taking power in January 2019. Now that I see their strategy, I believe that Dems will move slowly.

I’m curious as to where this “State sent Rudy to Ukraine” sub-story is going to go. I mean, when I travel for work, I pay for it and submit receipts and get reimbursed. So he either did that, or he didn’t. Right?

If he didn’t he’s been lying his ass off for 48 hours or so. If he did, that’s even worse, because it means the US officially sent Trump’s personal lawyer on a diplomatic mission.

News crawl says Dems at 188 votes. 1 is Amash. So they need another 30 out of 48 (if my math is right.). We know Gabbard is a no.

I’m going to assume that 2018 eliminated all or almost all potential Republican votes for impeachment.

    It is at 200 now.

9:30 a.m.: Number of House members supporting impeachment inquiry swells to 200

The number of House members who say they support at least opening an impeachment inquiry into Trump has swelled to 200, a figure that includes 199 Democrats and Rep. Justin Amash (Mich.), a former Republican who recently left the party, according to an updated Washington Post tally.

If it comes down to a duel, my money is on Burr. Trump would probably cheat by shooting early, but he’d miss, and then Burr’s shot would hit the target.

This very likely sanitized transcript is just damming in itself.
I am willing to take bets here, El Douche will not be president a year from now. Mark my words.

They were mere mortals. Fairly smart, most of them, but still mortals. Plus, that much of the language in the Constitution allows room for interpretation was purposeful. Genius or shortsighted, I dunno?

One person actually got to shoot first. That's the way it worked. Historians speculate that Hamilton, who shot first, purposefully missed, thus the song in the musical. Those same historians debate as to whether Burr tried to miss as well.
