Now back to the important issues: Chris Waddle on Foden "Where is Phil Foden? It is a mystery to me." https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/49796793
Now Chris Waddle was a special talent .. Foden maybe be better moving away to get a starting position.
Anyone likely to be break into next week's squad? Abraham must be in with a great chance, maybe Henderson too. I have a feeling that Trippier might be left out but those right back slots are tough to predict.
Rashford is injured right? So Abraham for Rashford. Not sure how many other changes he will make until we are qualified.
Arsenal should’ve tried to loan foden. He would of been great for us and a step up from the disappointing ceballos It’s not like we are a rival to city either
As I keep saying though, the player's themselves need to take responsibility. I hate the way pundits and the media as well as England fans themselves always attack the clubs and defend the players. City have a poor record at bringing through players from their academy in the Sheikh Mansour era, in addition to having an abundance of options in Foden's position. Why then, did Foden ever think it was a good idea to put no pressure or demands on City regarding playing time? Instead he just jumped into signing a 6 year deal and now guess what? He's stuck in a situation where he has no power whatsoever. If he is jealous of the likes of Sancho and Mount, then he should've been more demanding and upfront with City before he signed any new contract, he only has himself to blame for his lack of minutes.
Just to be clear, where would they play? I can't help thinking that the horse would be better up front with it's extra speed and ability to jump. It would also be more difficult to knock off the ball with it's extra weight. Also further back it's lack of turning would cut down on it's midfield or defensive mobility. The chicken would probably be better in defence because of it's lack of weight but where it could at least peck the private parts of the other teams forwards but... would that lead to more penalty give-aways? Hmm... not sure. We'd have to check current FIFA rulings regarding our centre back attacking the opponents genitals.
I mean, Tomori wouldn't be the worst shout. He's playing well enough for a top team that the decision could go either way, and he seems to be open to playing for other countries. If we have any sense, we'll put aside arrogant notions that it ought to be a straightforward choice, and we'll make it for him.
Pickford, Heaton, Pope/Henderson. Walker, Trippier, AWB Gomez, Tomori, Keane, Maguire, Mings Chillwell, Rose Rice, Winks, Henderson, Chamberlain Mount, Maddison, Grealish, Barkley Sterling, Rashford, Abraham, Kane, Sancho, Wilson - Give TAA the week off this time - Not a big AWB fan, but shuts people up if you get him involved again - Not convinced by Mings either, but as long as Tomori is in then who cares. - Grealish call-up, give Lingard a break as a warning about position in squad. - Don't call up Delph, he can always be parachuted in this summer, but putting him in the squad now just means he might get minutes over someone else more interesting right now. - Tammy in for obvious reasons. - Would call up Wilson, but don't think he should be much of an option for the summer. Big squad, but people will drop out and if Sterling was to have a 'back injury' it wouldn't be the worst thing. Rashford may be injured too.
