Thought Matip had another good game yesterday for Liverpool. Hate to say it but difficult to see Gomez getting back in as a first choice CB now.

Tomori was very very good again yesterday he could be an Gomez alternative if Southgate wants to lean on players playing regularly.

True, still hoping Tuanzebe could make a full breakthrough at some stage this season as well.

Tomori has lived in England for like 99.9% of his life.

Curious how you're such a big Rice + Grealish fan, yet somehow Tomori playing three times for Canada is such a no-no?

I like Rice , but he should play for Ireland..if he feels more Irish than English as has been reported.. Irish mother and Grandparents..

Grealish born in Birmingham to English parents so I’ve no idea where you’re going with that .. he has Irish grandparent ... so what ?

Tomori , fabulous potential but has Nigerian parents so should represent Nigeria imho .

So you should always play for the country your parents are from rather than the country where you've lived since you were a child?

Are you consistent with that 'rule' for all players? Seems pretty odd.

I think that’s best way tbh...

Two dogs breed they get puppies wherever they’re born .. they don’t become horses if they’re born in some stables or hens if they’re born in a chicken hut .

If a player is born here or lives most of their life here then they are English

But if you imagine Birmingham is a stable and the grandparents are Irish setters then his parents are clearly also Irish setters, because you can't just become a horse, meaning in turn Grealish must also be a dog not a horse and therefore should play for Ireland.

So according to Tito, a player born and raised in a Country that they consider home can’t play for that Country because their parents aren’t Native!

    Wow!

If that was the case, we wouldn't have an English players to choose from. Come to think of it, most of our fans wouldn't be able to support the team either (myself included) because we have either parents or grandparents from another country. Makes sense.......

Just seems like our Irish friend is getting worried at all the English talent coming through. Let's not forget either that regardless of how many countries they qualify for: Grealish, Rice and Tomori are all products of the English football system.

You can diss and mock me all you want guys ( and gals )but eventually we will be playing with completely multinational International teams ( apart from the British teams many others now have at least one Brazilian player) .

So an international version of the Champions League ..

Naturalising players on 5 year residency is very different to the Tomori case .He's spent all his conscious life in England and has come through the English football system, he's played for Chelsea since u8 level. I can't see why he should be playing for Nigeria or Canada over England.

Raheem Sterling should play for Jamaica then, because he was born in Jamaica.
Jadon Sancho should play for Trinidad & Tobago, because his parents from there.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka's parents from DR Congo, he should play for them, etc.
    Well done!

Surely you’re not categorising Tomori in the same bracket as say Diego Costa, Marcos Senna or the Brazilians that play for Ukraine for example? The circumstances are completely different.
