Regarding CHO's contract, I can understand it. I've spoken about how I think and want young players who are not yet established at their clubs to play hardball and not immediately give their power away to their clubs. This is because signing a long contract prevents them from moving if they're not getting opportunities. However, the injury changes everything for CHO sadly, there's no guarantee he'll be the same player after it and if it turns out he isn't then he'd have been in a dangerous situation where he effectively wouldn't make it as a professional footballer. At least now he has the security of a nice long contract on big money and the chance to secure his financial future if the worst comes to the worst and he's not able to reach the same level after this injury.

Is anyone else starting to get slightly concerned with Rashford? He was very wasteful again last night by the sounds of it. Now before we start let's have some perspective, I've seen some United fans get very abusive towards him and declaring "squad player is his level" or calling him Welbeck 2.0. Obviously this is out of order and unwarranted, Rashford is still young and has plenty of time to develop and improve. Rashford has also done very good things for his age and we must not forget that until relatively recently he had one of the worst possible managers and worst possible environments for his development. I do however feel he's given something of an easy ride. For all his pace and potential, he remains very raw and quite some distance off the finished article.

The thing that worries me most however, is I feel he's made little improvement since he first came through. His decision making and composure leaves a lot to be desired and he seems to continually make the same mistakes. Obviously we need to see how he gets on over the course of the whole of this season but I really feel this is a crucial season for him in terms of developing and going to the next level.

Why are you worried? He consistently plays well for England. I don’t think he’ll ever become a world class player or top striker but he’ll always be a great asset for a squad. There are so many attacking players coming through for England I don’t think it’s something worth worrying about. He might not even make the squad in two years time. What Rashford has is a really strong mentality for high pressure situations, look at his penalty against PSG last season and for England in big games, he’ll always have worth in major tournaments because of that.

Rashfords best assets is his pace and technique. Leave the goal scoring to the likes of kane and sterling. He could have been world class had he been coached properly when he first came through. I always said he could have been as good as mbappe had he been tutoured properly at an earlier age

Rashford is wasteful, but for now, he's still got time on his side.

I think Rashford needs to focus on poaching more, none of his goals tend to be typical strikers goals which means he can go long periods without scoring if his confidence is low.
I still think he can be a potential world beater, just needs to strip his game down, seems like he wants to be early Madrid Ronaldo at the moment

It's not necessarily about picking 4 strikers, that's for teams who play 2 up front. We need 6 for the front 3.

Sterling, Sancho, Rashford, CHO would be the obvious wide players, Kane and Wilson or Abraham the central. Wilson the man in possession of the shirt (and playing well), but impossible to ignore Abraham's claim for a spot at the moment.

Probably worth sacrificing a squad player elsewhere to accommodate both - maybe a 4th centre back wouldn't be necessary if Rice or Dier (subject to a recovery of form, he's obviously not in at the minute) are in the squad.

    Kane
    Sterling
    Sancho
    Rashford
    Hudson Odoi
    Abraham/Wilson

That’s what I would take. Maybe Wilson offers something different to the others, but Rashford can play centrally too as a backup and so can Sterling so maybe we don’t need 7 spots

Incredible finish from kane. Best finisher in the world. Great to see so many England internationals in one game

We should be building the team around maddison. The lad has everything. Forget henderson and rice. This lad should be in with one of the two. I would be gutted if we lost him to ireland. Though in fairness he said after the game his next aim is to brake into the england side

Maddison with a great game in the middle with barnes and vardy ahead of him, hope he can get a run of games there and not shunted on the left.

Maddison has to play. We just need to figure out the cms and we have a good side

The centre backs are a small issue but we have solid but unspectacular options

Gomez has a high ceiling and I hope Mings comes good

Pickford has a clear advantage because of his past performances for England but who do people think is our best keeper?

Watching Maddison and Winks today, it’s hard to fathom why they weren’t involved against Kosovo.
