Let's hope so. Whoever was dumb enough to be (knowingly) involved in this scam is dumb enough to leave a digital paper trail.

By the way, if you have endless time, you can go back and review UCLA rosters and there are other strange additions; players that never played and don't seem to have much of a soccer resume.
To be an academic benefit to the team, her academics only had to be better than the soccer team average. The bigger UC campuses are already turning away tons of applicants with good GPA and test scores. Athletes get to use the side door. Personal example - my daughter with 3.95 GPA and high test scores was waitlisted at UC Davis, my son with 3.2 and lower test scores got early admission there - but he could play soccer at D1 level.
from the nytimes.com: A Mystery Solved in the College Admissions Scandal: The Family Who Paid $1.2 Million
Well, here’s an interesting little twist. It turns out you could not only pay to get into college, but could get a high school diploma by paying only $280 and having a tutor take your college prep exams. https://ktla.com/2019/05/28/ex-dire...tudents-for-fee-is-linked-to-admissions-scam/ I don’t know about you, but I’ll be watching to see if Westside College preparatory school pops up on any résumes.
Steven Masera, the California accountant accused of handling the books for a test-fixing and bribery scheme that defrauded some of the country’s top universities, will plead guilty to racketeering conspiracy and has agreed to cooperate with investigators, according to court documents unsealed Friday. As bookkeeper for William “Rick” Singer’s business and foundation, Masera, 69, billed parents who hired the Newport Beach college consultant to fix their children’s entrance exams and slip them into elite universities with bribes, according to an indictment charging Masera and 11 others in March with racketeering conspiracy. https://www.latimes.com/local/lanow...ons-scandal-steven-masera-20190531-story.html
https://www.latimes.com/california/story/2019-08-23/father-subpoenas-usc-for-admissions-records I can't even get behind USC and UCLA this year.
What about the other colleges that are named in this investigation? You don't want to call them out with USC and UCLA?
Federal Prosecutors unsealed criminal charges against another parent who paid $400,000 to Rick Singer get her son admitted to UCLA . The woman, Xiaoling Sul, is being held in Spain by Spanish authorities to answer extradition proceedings to the United States to face charges The charges include that Jorge Salcedo was bribed to present the son as a soccer player. The parent first sent pictures to Singer of her child playing Tennis, but Singer decided to present him as a soccer player. Prosecutor Andrew Lelling of the Mass. district says the investigation remains open and more people will be charged. https://www.nytimes.com/2019/09/17/us/college-admissions-scandal-charges.html
The hole gets that much deeper for Salcedo as it looks like he even awarded the kid 25% scholarship. Thats California Tax Payers money I would think that makes it that much worse
I remember him saying the kid would be A star for sure. Central to the team. The offense would revolve around him.
Why would he oversell this non-player??? It just draws more attention to him when he gets there ...and even before if someone wanted to look into this player! So dumb!
What amazes me is the fact that Cromwell at UCLA is basically today’s Teflon Don. Rostering a known non-athlete complete with bio and photo on the team website?!?!?!? Not implying she took any $ but she certainly is complicit in the fraud
At UCLA, fraud was committed on both the Men’s and Women’s teams. I’m not sure all the shoes have dropped there. Ali Khosroshahin, USC W Laura Janke USC W assistant. Both agreed to plead guilty.
For what it’s worth both Ali and Janke we’re implicated after they were employed at USC The Associate AD and Water Polo coach at USC we’re the ones on the hook there and are being prosecuted
This is a leap to judgement. You have no idea if she was told to roster this player by a higher up. She may have had no idea why. I have no insight. But others at UCLA do. And, she is still employed.
I wouldn't answer to these people. They will give anything to have UCLA women's soccer fail even it means pretending that their own shit don't stink.
Come on now, this is an anonymous message board, known for its leaps to judgment, and not a court of law. It is way in-bounds, in the context of the known facts, to speculate about Cromwell's involvement. If we are being honest, it is more likely that Cromwell was at least complicit in some way, than it is that she had no knowledge that a player on her championship level team, was not really a player and she stood idly by while this was forced upon her.
