LOL false, must be a rule about somebody else haha. I only leak info I'm told I'm allowed to. Like I said before, if nationwide allows it the stadium is really going to be something... Still not officially approved but we are really close.
The angles of the roof in the original renderings could look similar to a Star Destroyer I suppose. Maybe that’s his reference? The MNUFC/FCC foil wrap has been done. I’m hoping for the next evolution beyond those two.
I haven't followed this thread closely: is there a reason we should expect the final version to stray dramatically from the first renderings? We sometimes talk about it like we've been given no prior info about what they've been thinking, but those renderings looked good too. Add some more short-north arches and it's a good mix of 'futuristic' glass angles and red brick. I don't read much into Garber's Star Wars comments.
When Precourt comes back to town, a little trapdoor will open up in the visitor's luxury box, and he'll drop into the Rancor Pit.
Wrong. Queso the Hutt will be choked out by Arica Kress and then dropped into the Sarlacc pit. That is if he doesn't get locked in his limousine and dies by eating himself.
It seems like a decent handful of people have seen the renderings and are all making it known all of a sudden. Is this reason to believe a public reveal will be happening very soon?
That's what I was thinking. No news at all, for many weeks, then this steady stream of reports. Though, of course, none of them describe the stadium design in any way ("Star Wars" doesn't tell me much). Yet Inside Man claims the owners and NRI still aren't fully agreed on the details (but are "close"). Personally, construction and parking in the Short North gives me hives. But for any of you Millennial types, can someone stroll/electric scooter up and down High Street down there and see if anyone's building out a storefront that looks like it'll be the fanshop/stadium preview space that's been mentioned? It was supposed to open in September, right? I mean, were supposed to break ground in September, too (with stadium construction starting next month). Last time I checked, it was September.
A bridge to/from where? The one already planned and funded in 2017 that is near the end of West Nationwide Blvd (which will do very little to enhance access to the AD); or a new one connecting the AD to the Scioto Peninsula (which would dramatically improve access to the stadium location)?
Scioto Peninsula is what I've heard. Pregaming in Franklinton will be all the rage. Anyone wanna start a pool on who the first idiot to try to drunkenly swim across the river to a game will be?
