Not like Lletget-Yueiil-Roldan combo or Boyd makes me happy.

Any player who puts himself above the team has to be out. Any player who won't listen to the coach has to be out. That's the way it has to be. I have no time for weak Millennial chit.

im not sure about that pomykal quote- it makes a case against him playing. id need to see more context.

Is it fair to say that you would have kicked out most of the players who revolted against JK then?

its a stripped down roster, im not at all saying weve actually moved past bradley/trapp (certainly not that we have the alternatives here)- just a note.

Ive only read the quote here and it still isn't entirely in context, I believe the quote is basically saying if youre 20 or 28 its about your performance, and that they have a high ceiling group of young players coming in. You can take it as a Zardes diss, but I don't really see it that way. I don't know, but its a good quote.

Sometimes Argentina played better when Messi was not around, since they were much less predictable: with Messi there, all were trying to get the ball to him to create some magic.

Wonder if we'll see the same without Pulisic. Sometimes having a single "star player" can make a team very easy to press out of a game.

    thanks for the link.
i get what hes saying, i just think its a pretty wonky take. again- i think it works against him bringing up levels, and (however true it is in the specific case of zardes/sarge) i dont know that "getting minutes" at a higher level is a very strong argument.

I said from the beginning that Egg's selections were light. Neither Yueil not Lletget are up for the defensive performance they need. You could see something like this happening since Jan camp.

If Bradley were in the camp GB would start him. Pomykal is a better player than Yueill/Roldan, but still doesn't know how to pass to the keeper, apparently.

thats a valid point, but we have low "b" level talent left for this match, and its not like mexico had to take away pulisic- they killed our attacks before they "built" out of our 6 yard box.

I don't believe players revolted against JK. I think that is media spin. Hi Brian Strauss!

I for one am happy to see Boyd still in the lineup. He's had issues lately being on the same page as the rest of the team but the talent is there.

He looked into the camera and said "Darlington if you're not going to do it for yourself, do it for your country". He's been walking around with a hard on for Nagbe since last week. Just what we need: another softie in midfield.

There was obviously a player revolt. Look how many quit the team! Look how poorly we played in Brazil! You are using the classic BigSoccer technique called "I really want it to be so, therefore it must be so!" Emotion doesn't change reality.

There was a big difference between Brazil and afterwards. If you don’t think that JK lost the team, that’s fine.
