Time to rev up the offense! I'm hoping for a shot on goal this match...

If they lose by just 2 goals I'd be surprised, and it'll certainly be something for Egg to hold up as improvement..."lost by 3 to a good team, only 2 the next match...we're playing the way I want us to. Just wait til we have Jozy and the Lion back in the fold, we might only lose by 1 like the GC final!!!"

They will certainly lose by 3+ goals if they continue to try and play out of the back at almost every opportunity. Do they even know that the GK doesn't need to touch the ball during an attack sequence? I often find myself screaming at the TV when they constantly pass the ball backwards. The name of the game for our kids should be to strike fast and get back on D.

    I think this game ends 0-0, 0-1, or 1-1.

I will always watch. Just an old inner city soccer coach who cares for the sport very much. Also, anyone can always learn something new from each match viewed. Tactics, lineups and of course the players performance rival or not. Certainly I also believe that what I demand of my players, I will demand of myself. The ball has taught more than any coach will and in this mindset watching the sport for an American levels up a players soccer IQ.
Then there is our soccer culture's next generation, which for us, we have some youngsters outside of the Euro based players that are worth our time. Specifically Paxton Jones Pomykal.

Maybe GGG will switch to exclusively LONG balls out of the back this match; no short passes. Have to finish the drill.

We are on a verge of revolt. Those who don't see it aren't paying attention. Listen what CP says, Cannon and Wes about Pomykal. Pomykal about Sargent, Pulisic giving the ball on a PK to Sargent. There is also Weah, who is Sargent's closest friend. The kids have power and won't take shit from anyone. Klinsman-Donovan story won't be repeated.

    Yueill has a good motor.

He's right at the seam or low end for international level speed. He's working at being heavier on the ball, which he definitely needs...noticeable improvement in that area under Almeyda. Too early to see him deep as a sole 6. I'd rather see him as an 8 coupled with Lletget...with Pomykal subbing in for at least 30 min.

    “We are making progress.”

“I know that’s not the narrative from you people, but I thought this was better than the gold cup final.”

“You will say we don’t have the players for this, but for me it’s about development.”

I ran that gibberish through google translate and got this:

“I’m in a loving and committed relationship with Bradley/Trapp and Zardes. Ride or die mother'fers!

Wanted Robinson and Pomykal to start, but otherwise this is close to what I wanted to see. I really want to just look like we belong out there, so tired of being dominated.

Starting 11 is actually better than what was put out with all the players last time. We have a CM who can pass and carry the ball. But Gregg said he didn't expect Uruguay to high press, and I can assure you if they are smart thats what every team will do. Simply because we can't deal with it.

    On the Left.

I assume it is something like this:

    ----------------------Sargent-------------------------
    -----Boyd-----------Lletget-------------Morris-----
    ---------------Yueill---------Roldan-----------------
    -Dest--------Ream-------Long----------Cannon-
    -----------------------Guzan--------------------------

    I love that.

Players know Berhalter is clearly going with lower quality players he has a history with, to the detriment of the program.

Wonder if he has talked to Benny about what happens when you are a "negative" influence?
