Seems a bit early for this, no?

That said: Howell is too high. Good player but I have to think most teams will pick a bona vide scorer (or talented attacking winger) before a defensive midfielder. Soccer often can be reduced to finding players who can put the ball in the net.

Yeah. I didn't think you'd be the one to post such a list. LOL

Strange list. At least five sophomores on the list, but lots of notable seniors missing. Is that because he expects Macario, for instance, to not play stateside and instead sign directly in Europe?

My first observation is that Malia Berkeley is missing.

'21 - My bad. I missed that and that's why she's not on the list.

listened to the podcast. It is clearly very Instat/stat based. It can lead to defenders and defensive mids being overvalued relative to other positions. A player like Smith is going to be drafted a lot higher based on upside alone.

Who you play with/against is going to have a huge bearing on this stat based analysis. AS is how you are asked to play by your HC. I would love to see ONLY data used from matchups that are vs top 50 teams. Not feasible I now given statistical sample sizes, but you get my point. Some kids are more likely to hang 5 points on a bad team than others. Often those same kids dont thrive when the heat is on.
