    We need a better coach.

    Berhalter does not cut it.

Got to give him a shot one way or another. With Long having a yellow now, Berhalter has a perfect reason to give him that shot.

Morales is needed as a dmid. Plays hard and gives the toughness we need in the middle. Let him play the Beckerman role, and I think he actually can be a part of the team going forward.

Subs in the half i’d make:

Pomykal (Trapp)... move Morales to CDM

    Lletget (Boyd)

    Sargent (Zardes)

We had a decent 15 minutes, then Mexico turned things by dialing up the pressure.

I like their manager more than ours.

Playing out of the back did not go well at all in that half.

This really bugs me too. It was obvious in the GC that we had problems with an aggressive press, even if the opponent was Guyana or Curacao. Why don't we look any more comfortable dealing with it?

Oh I thought we played great....

Not a shot on goal except one extremely hopeful shot from 30 yards out from Dest.

Zardes, Dest, Mckennie, Cannon, Steffen, Morales = Garbage

Zimmerman and Trapp are literally the only players who looked like they belonged in that 1/2

This would be cool. It could be disaster with two untested players in key roles against Mexico, but then again given who they'd be replacing it could hardly get worse.

trapp offers literally nothing in the most important position. maybe someone else offers less but you owe it to everyone to find out for sure

The first 15 minutes, the USA was actually the better side. Poor defending, Trapp and Zardes are not up to this level, and the central defenders are poor. The rest of the team looks decent, but I would expect more out of my McKennie if I were a USA fan. He's far too good to have such a little impact on a match.

If he knows what he's doing he sure does a good job of playing it close to the vest. No adjustment at all to high press was professional negligence

Yeah, it's looking like his first couple games might have just been fool's gold.
