Hearing Alfredo Morales will start for the #USMNT tonight against Mexico. Expecting Pulisic, Zardes and Tyler Boyd to lead the attack. Dest starting as well, which Berhalter previously announced.— Roger Gonzalez (@RGonzalezCBS) September 6, 2019
just want to watch some good soccer from the good guys. ping the ball around, put together some good possessions, maybe a few flashes of individual talent. Dest not fall flat. That's about all.

This is DUMB AF. This is the only game where you get the full roster available, put the best young future players out there. After Mexico, Pulisic, Brooks, and others are returning to their clubs. If you don't rate Sargent, stop calling up the kid. WTF more do you need to see from Zardes and Trapp? Playing time is earned, not given out of loyalty. This is how you f*ck up a team.
you joke! but I've seen 4 or 5 game spells where we cannot accomplish this simple yet daring piece of football.
I got some questions: - What's the point in starting Zimmerman w/ Long period, especially v. a quick team? Wouldn't have a pairing w/ Miles made more sense, or otherwise this been a good time to see the Brooks-Long tandem in action for the first time? - What's the purpose of starting Steffen every game instead of cultivating a viable alternative in case he gets injured? I think we have reason enough to be confident in Steffen. - Does Wes provide good enough link-up as a 10? Wouldn't he have been a better 6 or 8 option? - How much is loyalty worth to Gregg? It put the nail in the coffin when it came to missing the WC and tarnished Bruce's rep. What I do like: - We have quality 2-way fb's on the field seemingly. Didn't tether himself to playing a left-footer or stay at home, meaning dross like Ream and Lovitz. I guess this compensates for the lack of creative in cm a bit. Seemingly the U.S. will be playing thru the wings, so better win a decent amount of possession. - Morales gets another shot, and I do think 8 is his best utilization because as the last line of defense he can be passive and if not get beat because he's not the fastest. Though Trapp also has that issue, so the combo may be questionable. Morales can harass players w/ work-rate and make trailing runs into the box. - Interested to see what Boyd can do against a quality opponent for the first time and playing more in transition instead of hanging out up the field. Probably his better role. How he played in his last Turkish club. At Besiktas he's been terrible so far. May have had a concussion. If he's better here, could be he's recovered, or the style. He needs to pick up some momentum soon.
Is will trap finally playing RB, like I suggested he should? Or has he been tasked with making Morales look like a monkey? I don't even understand what's going on anymore.
That we will. I love to see the kids play well tonight, but I am secretly wishing Tata humiliate this fool with a 6-0 scoreline.
serves that bastard right. He's done nothing but start in the Bundesliga for 4 years. He's not Orlando City quality just yet.
