Now, how much "better" is actually the scottish league compared to JLeague? He is not in Celtic with UCL like Shunsuke, there are more scouts for big clubs in Scotland than Japan?
Probably more scouts yes. And its a good thing being a much tougher league physical. If PL is his goal.

Heading home now to watch this. I actually just walked past the stadium before the game kicked off, it's a good atmosphere in town, a couple of my work colleagues are big hearts fans and really excited about this kid, they really need something to cheer about
I'm watching but I have to be honest, haven't seen this league since the Nakamura days but it's... not really nice to watch. At least not the two teams involved today The technical level is lower than I thought, there's lots of ping-pong with the ball in the air, most passes don't really connect... ugh. Meshino has been "ok" I would say but if the team doesn't pick up some decent style it's gonna be hard for him.
Yeah this was always going to be an issue. the scottish league is a very hustle bustle league, not much space to create, lots of hoof ball and physicality. Unless youre playing for Rangers and Celtic who have better players and can actually get the ball to you, eg what helped nakamura, its going to be tough. But he was thrown into the deep end and this truly was an awful match, the J league is so far ahead of this farce.
Brilliant. He will be the star of this inept team in no time, even their fans think that Meshino shall play for a team better than theirs.
He played 90 minutes and Hearts won for the first time in the season, 2-1 away at Hibernian. Not directly responsible for any of the goals, but lots of praise for him in the comments from supporters on Twitter. Hearts sacked their head coach (manager) Craig Levin: https://bit.ly/36jS9ok Austin MacPhee, his assistant coach, will be the interim manager. Austin was the one behind bringing Meshino to Hearts. He speaks fluent Japanese and was the head coach of regional league club FC Kariya form 2003 to 2006.
His goal: Meshino goal. Should have been closed down quicker but still a good hit. Thought he looked decent vs Hibs pic.twitter.com/MElnbDpPlR— Chris (@Chri592) December 29, 2019
Ironically, Meshino is the team’s top scorer in the league with 3 goals in 16 matches. Hearts played 21 league matches so far, collecting 13 points, sitting on the last place of the league table, scoring 18 goals and conceding 35. Hearts have the weakest defence in the Scottish premier league, conceding more goals than any other team, and the fourth weakest attack, with only 3 teams scoring less than them.
Hearts are one of the biggest and best clubs in Scotland but right now they are terrible and struggling badly. Meshino is playing well and has scored some good goals like today’s brilliant strike. Always funny seeing people attacking the Scottish game without knowing what they’re talking about. We are a very small country and our clubs have minimal budgets so the fact we get as many good players to the country as we do is actually incredible. Are people comparing it to the English leagues? Totally unfair as the budgets are not even in the same universe. Anyway it’s good o see a young Japanese player making a bit of an impact here
No offence or derogatory intended. We know very well the things you mentioned about the SPL. Welcome to the Japanese section of BigSoccer forums, keep coming here and share with us your thoughts about Meshino in Scotland and any insightful information and comments.
