He, I love Kante's game, but it was pretty incredible to see how poor he was vs Croatia in the final. He got yanked in the 55th minute
well if you want a better representation of N'golo, just ask any gooner. On May 29th at only 75%, Kante bossed the gooner midfield & made Torreira cry Torreira crying , did he cry before joining Arsenal? No pic.twitter.com/mYypHFEW0C— No1Again ✈️ (@niko_No1Again) May 29, 2019
Chelsea should easily get out of this group. Ajax is not going to have a dream run like they did last year. Chelsea Ajax Lille Valencia
How's Chelsea doing? After 3 matches 5 points lost and a negative goal difference. It must be the magical Lampard wand that gives these glittering results. Bet he's going to outcoach the other 3 in the group. Just in case: this is sarcastic
This Chelsea side isn't that great. Maybe they get out of the group but it won't be "easy" by any means.
LIke you said, it's 3 matches with a new coach. I'll give Lampard 10-12 games to get this team to gel.
You're right, the current Chelsea team isn't 'great', but I don't consider Lille, Valencia, or Ajax 'great' EPL squads either. Based on talents alone, they should get out of this group comfortably. I too, doubt they can go much further after the group stage. But that could change a month or two from now.
Ajax and Lille both lost a lot of top-end talent without replacing it. Chelsea has to be favored to be in the top two of the group. If Ajax of Lille gel well, or get major internal improvement from players who haven't proven it yet, they can go through. In addition to three Yanks, I love this group because I wouldn't consider it a shocker if any of these four make it through.
Well, he made some choices since he's Chelsea manager that are not that good. At Man United he was savaged by the ManUnited team by making bad, unnecesary decisions in the way they played. He had a tactical plan that simply played into the strength of ManUnited while he has the players to suck the power out of the ManUnited play. I've got the impression he has a lot to learn yet in managing a team's performance tactically. Maybe "sucks" is too harsh but there's a lack of experience in what a match needs from a tactical pov in terms of putting in players or subbing them or the way confronting them (edit: = the other team). I can't say of course he will keep sucking, as he will gain experience and then it will show if he has it or not, but Chelsea isnot the club to be the vehicle of that learning curve.
Understatement of the year combined with hubris of the day... "In defense, it’s almost a certainty that Lampard will continue to rely on a back four consisting of Emerson, Kurt Zouma, Andreas Christensen, and Cesar Azpilicueta. While this combination hasn’t necessarily convinced entirely, especially due to the worrying amount of goals we’ve conceded, it will do the trick." (If your definition of "convinced entirely" is = "done much more than suck.")
chelsea quickly moving into man united of last few years territory of you gotta be joking that you have champions league aspirations with that back four
Rudiger will walk back into the starting XI when fully fit, and with Kante in front, should provide much more stability.

He’s never done it consistently at the club level, ruthless end product is the missing piece of his game right now.
