  2. Just read an injury list in the German nat team thread:
    Injury updates
-Sane is out for like half a year.
-Kehrer declared out for 3 weeks, so could miss out
-Rudiger, seems like he'll be back in mid-September post Internationals.

Given that the quali match against Germany is in september, they will miss out on a couple of quality players.

Actually we've no other choice but to do just that.

  5. Koeman really is born with a silver spoon (silver? golden more apt) in his mouth.
In two years time he will have the problem of who on earth do I leave out of the selection in all lines. In contrast to when he signed up with the "where can I find decent players" situation.

Yeah we really need to get 6 points from those upcoming two games, otherwise, we will be somehow in a big trouble!

Our young men really need to step up!

Luuk de Jong is a regular starter for Seveille so far, and I am reading some good opinions from Seveille fans about him till now.
Having a regular starting striker for one of the top Liga teams can be very important for Oranje in the next EC.

Exactly what I was going to say. He can be as important as he wants to be, but if he doesn't score goals he'll be out by Christmas

Good for him but let’s be real your in big trouble if you have Luuk De Jong to rely on.
    Not of international quality

I am a big fan of Lammers myself, but let's be realisistic. Koeman seems to be really conservative in his selection choices. I don't see him calling up Lammers, at least for the Euros.

  14. I like Lammers as well, but given the choice I would go for Stengs. He shows flashes that remind of a combination of Bergkamp and van Persie.

It's a moot point as Lammers is out injured and I haven't seen anything about when he will return to PSV.

If lammers can hit 20 plus goal this season, I dont see any reason why he shouldnt be on that plane to the euros. He managed 16 goals last season which was injury stricken as well.
I think his knee injury was not a serious one. Is on rehab after going under the knife. Could be back after the internationals.

But the main argument point here is he can offer what Luuk offers or even better.

Agreed. He is much more gifted technically compared to Luuk.

"If" Vincent Janssen can get his career back on track in Mexico he will be the first choice striker.

    Why?

We've plenty of options to rotate through the front 3 at this point. Memphis is stepping into the form of his life and if he can keep his head down and focus he'll be one of the best attackers in the world. He's been unreal to start the season in L1 this year. Promes is still ever dangerous though taking time to adjust to Ajax, Bergwijn, Stengs and Gakpo all look bright and Bergwijn especially has done well for Oranje when called up (please, no more Babel). I would even give Kerk a call-up because he certainly has some really special skill.

I wouldn't mind seeing something like this:

    Cillessen
Dumfries - de Ligt - van Dijk - Blind
    de Jong
    van de Beek - Wijnaldum
    Promes - Memphis - Bergwijn

With some youngsters on the bench. That is a very good, very dangerous team.

Probably the best available selection... the attack is extremely thin, to state the obvious. Will be very difficult to get goals in Germany. Promes is lacking minutes. I thought I read that Berghuis was/is injured? Luuk De Jong may sneak into the starting line up, although Koeman has a bromance with Babel so I'd suppose we will see Babel in the wing somehow.

  24. Was just a fright. It looked more serious than it was. He's fine and afaik know plays in Israel with Feyenoord.

Watching Ajax tonight just to see how they are without FDJ ..

Who’s playing on his place / position ?

Did they buy a direct replacement ?
