When: Wednesday August 21, 2019 8PM Where: Audi Filed Why: Garber says so Hey something to do on my Birthday!!!!
Then we have a big party. //I had no idea this was a home game until I saw this thread. //a line was skipped
this game looks to be full - very few standard seats available (less than 70 on the west side, about 100 on the east) and maybe about 600 seats for resale.
I hate the metros. I'm still shocked they are allowed to claim NY instead of NJ in their name, it's blatant false advertising. They might just as well claim to be a third LA team. I've seen the metros play a few games this year, luckily they lost them all, they're easy to hit n the counter, which is nice since that's our main danger here lately. Will be nice to see Lucho start a game again, and if he and Rooney can manage to both start (if the old man's not too wiped out from sitting in an airplane), it will be interesting to see how fast they can get things going. I think it's very important we score first, and the earlier and more often the better. I'm also curious to see what kind of defense we'll see. I think Canouse may be ready to come back as well. I bought one of his jerseys last game, so I half expect him to be traded or put on IR DCU - 4 NJ - 1 Thinking of MPF and baby animals that are fitting of the visitors ..... I looked for a picture of a baby rat in a bowler hat, and while this was not what I had in mind, it is what I asked for ...
#DCU play #RBNY in the latest installment of the Atlantic Cup on Wednesday. So naturally, we're seeing the usual lists of "memorable moments" in the rivarly. Well I'm here to tell you, folks, this rivalry is very close to being dead. On @TheAthleticSCCR https://t.co/OfRePvkYCf— Pablo Iglesias Maurer (@MLSist) August 20, 2019
Well, the Atlantic Cup is and has always been completely meaningless. But playing new jersey will always be an important game I'm willing to get all worked up about
For me, the rivalry hasn't been the same since the Bergin County Red Bulls rebranded from the original sad sack NY/NJ MetroStars monicker. I think that currently Philadelphia, the Gals & NYCFC are more worthy rivals.
Wouldn't it be great if this video was playing on a loop in the stadium for the hour before the game.
as infuriated as i was this morning when i first read it i've had time to think: he's mostly right...the rivalry is dead in comparison to others around MLS i didn't even know about the game until today so even though i'm lumped in (by Pablo) with 96ers who care ALOT about beating NY, i guess technically the fact that i'm not gonna be at Audi or watching on FloSports means I've transitioned into some weird casual fan zone, right? so my issue with his premise is that, according to him, nobody cares about this one matchup anymore but i'd wager that less locals care about the team as a whole and the perceived strength of these clashes is merely symptomatic of bigger problems the rivalry itself isn't irrelevant, the team is
I doubt it will be well attended. It's pitch-black in the sky above Silver Spring right now. If it's anything like yesterday's storms I can see lightning cancelling out the game until late. Sure hope everyone sets the DVR to extend, although UniMasTDN has another game directly after this one... Thx, Jay!
