What is the new FIFA law on free kicks that Twellman keeps talking about? Nice strike from Pity.

GK has to stay on his line until the ball is struck. That has always been the rule, but now it's reviewable with VAR, and they're much stricter about it.

Yeah I got that one, and you can't put offensive player in the wall if the defenders have more than 3 in the wall. But what was Twellman yammering about?

I didn't know you could have a three-digit soccer jersey number...

Why can't we close these games out?

I must admit, that was entertaining and much more satisfying than I expected.

40,128 in attendance. It's a trophy. It will look pretty in the case, but it don't mean much. (My 9-year-old thinks it's awesome, though.)

It is a Mexican thing. I asked about it during a youth tournament when all the players had #s like 721, 722, 723, etc. Apparently every level has their own numbers... did Club America put in someone with a 3-digit jersey?

Probably a young kid called up for this trip from their second team. It'd be like someone getting called up from AU2. Don't quote me on any of this, but that is the way it was explained to me when watching the U14s play a Mexican squad in a youth tournament.

Yeah. Israel Garcia is their new attacking midfielder brought up from their U-20 team (he's 20 now, so he's on the senior roster).
