Pulisic looking lively. Taking players on, looking to pick out teammates. Needs to continue to work on consistency, but he can create a moment of magic out of nothing.
A spot on Corner from Pulisic, that Zouma just whiffed on. Then a mistimed soft lay off intended for KAnte, in an attacking position that got taken by Chelsea
That was a really nice run off the ball. Another beautiful run, and a good locking first time sidefooter that got blocked for a conrer
Interestingly he's taking corners from both sides...though the last one was not long enough and easily cleared out. Then he finds himself surrounded by 4, and tried to dance out of it unsuccesfully (he also didn't have any passing lanes so not a bad idea)
Thanks to that last corner, Puli is now playing the right...which puts him up against VVD aka the best defender alive right now
Pulisic kind of playing as a withdrawn striker now, drifting centrally much more, with little defensive responsibilities
Chelsea have 6 players in the Liverpool half when Adrian has the ball, and he can't find a ball over the top to exploit the press. Alisson would be pinging balls all over t0 initiate counters...
Willian is the obvious replacement. Tammy Abraham (Giroud) and MAson Mount (for Puli) coming on now. Puli looks like he pulled up lame.
Kepa really is a fantastic goalkeeper. If this is a down season/period for them, I can't see them sinking as low as Liverpool did a half a decade ago or how Manchester dipped after Sir Alex left.
Would give him a 5 for the first 35 minutes, and 8 or for the final 10, and a 6.5 for the 2nd half...or perhaps a 7 for the match thanks to his assist and work from the 35th on
