I wouldn't be surprised if Dzeko stays. He's been playing very well during pre season and our priority is investing in our defense.
Tbh I think you guys will have a really strong season. Sure some games you will be pissed off but I think it's between more so you and Milan and they haven't had a very good mercato while you guys I think have actually strengthened and if you get Icardi you can fight for even a top 3 spot
Ya I don't seem him deviating from a formation that has wingers, although I'd love to see it and think that some of our wide players might play well right behind the strikers. If we have to play Zaniolo out wide I hope it is on the left side this time. Feel he'd do better there.
We have Spinnazola that plays left back though. I hope to see Zaniolo on the left this year. I also hope to see more of Antonucci as well.
It's quite surprising how the Italian media keep writing about Rugani while Fonseca asks for a pacy and experienced defender and Daniele is neither a one nor the other

From the little I've seen of the team this year one of the things that really struck me was how centrally the wingers played with the width coming from the FBs. If this is going to be the tactics he uses most often I can see Pellegrini and Zaniolo being deployed as "wingers" since they will be playing narrow. That said, in pre-season I take everything with a giant grain of salt because.. well, because it's preseason.
Crunch time? @RBLeipzig_EN might be getting nervous that it will lose Timo Werner for free as it has reportedly lowered its asking price on the striker. @FCBayernUS is still in the background, while @ASRomaEN and @en_sscnapoli have expressed interest https://t.co/7rRqsl8YIZ— Bavarian Football Works (@BavarianFBWorks) August 13, 2019 Schick + 10M, give Werner 6-7M net to get him to come. This would be the perfect solution for our striker problem.
I'd doubt very much he'd come, from what I've read he's only going to Bayern. That said I think he'd be fantastic.
Yeah, but who thought Icardi could come to Roma. The new tax law gives Roma a huge incentive to go after Timo instead of someone already in Serie A, as it only applies to players coming from abroad.
Be honest to u, I cant take anything other than Icardi now, u gave me hope. Schick will be in a very odd situation though if we land him in, however.
very true. I'm surprised Bayern haven't made a move for him so maybe they just don't rate him. He really is a great talent and I'd be will to pay much more than Schick and 10 mil. If he blows up we could sell him to Bayern for 100 mil
Agree, worst that can happen is he says no. If we could pull it off I'd keep Dzeko for another year so that we don't have to throw Werner into the fire immediately and risk ruining him.
I don't think that we could afford any more investments that won't translate into more points at the end of the season. If we want to get back into CL, we'd have to be much better on the pitch and buying strikers who cannot be starters over the likes of Dzeko is hardly a good bet, considering that missing on CL again would pretty much guarantee us having to dismantle the current squad afterwards. We need to put all of our budget on the pitch, not on the bench.

At this point I don't care what we do... as long as we do something. Werner, Icardi, Batshuayi all sound great at this point. As long as we get a CB that fits the coaches requirements, I'm happy.
