This game looks will shortly be sold out - VERY few standard tickets left and only about 40 seats priced under $100 (either standard or resale).

I'm not even gonna try and make a prediction.

Except, maybe, "the pitch will look like crap, we'll be lazy with our passes in midfield again, and the ref will be somewhere between mediocre and terrible"

Rooney's definitely gone. Acosta's probably gone. Olsen's likely gone. There's no pressure on anybody any more. Might as well have some fun.

I'm actually going to attend a Sunday match, putting my no beer Sunday rule on hold.

    It's a silly rule, anyway.

I'm trying to convince my office to ditch the "no beer workday" policy, really.

This is gonna be a shit-show, I feel it. Maybe just because it's another dumb Sunday night game. Maybe because we are in free-fall.

The one hope is DCU players will be wanting to give Rooney a reason to miss us. But I think we'd be better off with the Gal players wanting to gift Rooney a win instead, they may have more control over the outcome.

Did I read correctly that one of their players will be basically flying in with LA and then driving to the field instead of their hotel because he got traded?

    Re: some of the posts above;
Not that they are doing it today or even this week, but my office is quite liberal with throwing little parties where we get to drink on their dime; usually with decent enough beer, sometimes even a selection of frozen mixed drinks. There is one the Friday after the NJ game which might come in handy. I'm taking that Thursday off anticipating how bad I'm gonna feel. I mean, yes we will beat them, but.....

Anyway back to the Gals - maybe their plane will be carrying the norovirus. That would be cool.

We still manage to pull out some kind of late-game semi-heroics and tie

I'm just not feeling the DCU love. We're going to have our hats handed to us again, 0-4 or 1-5.

I see us losing 0-3 or 1-4. I think the sock in the gut of Rooney leaving will cascade through this squad and LAG's quality will overwhelm us in most places. I can't expect that we have a better player in a position in more than 3-4 spots that most.

I'm so disappointed that you folks don't think Olsen can outcoach GBS.

The only one Olsen can outcoach, MAYBE, would be Curt Onalfo.

Geraldo Titi Martino will be in therapy for the next 20 years because of Olsen.

Having to see "that guy" in a DC United uniform will be enough for me not to watch.

Is it bad I'm almost more excited to watch Zlatan in person than I am DC United right now?

I’m anxious/excited to see some quality attacking football. I just won’t see it from my team.

Will Pavon be available for LAG Sunday? If so, a bad night for DCU could turn even worse.

Yea, looking at prices on the 2ndary market I am thinking this might be a good game to sell. Gotta pay for that FloTV subscription somehow!

What's the over/under on Felipe taking out Zlatan's knee at the kickoff? (Just to endear himself to DC United fans with long memories.)

Unfortunately with our injury & suspension situation Ben can’t give Felipe the “Ruiz treatment.”

If there were in-game betting being offered, I wouldn’t place money on Martins avoiding a red card Sunday.

Is there a Boateng playing for the other LA team? I thought the one we got had more than one goal this season

    Thx,

    Jay!

    That’s Latif Blessing
