Forgive my ignorance, does this mean a normal FPL league? I'll join if so!

It means you create another team without any limitations on having similar players on other teams, and enter that team in this league.

Don't forget to update the Transfer tab in the spreadsheet guys , once any transfer goes thru ....

If you can keep your team & the relevant position tab updated as well , makes it easier for all in the long run & less chance of double ownership issues.

    It's G-Doc time....

If anyone in the league doesn't have access to the G-Doc, please speak up and let's get it sorted.

You will see that I did add two tabs/sheets in the G-Doc.

The first is called "Current Rosters". This is currently the sheet that we ended up with at the end of the draft -- which is everyone's current roster. (I made a copy of the current sheet so that we can go back in a few months (or maybe a few weeks or days) and laugh at how many players from our draft are no longer on the team, but the purpose of Current Rosters is to always be able to see everyone's current roster). As we go through the season, this sheet needs to be updated as each transfer is made. After posting your transfer in the Big Soccer thread, please remove your prior player(s) and put your new players on your roster. As a bonus, it would be nice if you would use the "fill color" function and highlight the new player(s) as that way all newly drafted players will stand out. (Highlighting can be cleared after a week or so).

The second tab/sheet that is titled Transfers. After inserting your new player(s) on the "Current Rosters" sheet, you can then copy and paste the info for your new player on the Transfers page. Go to the next line, add your team name, list the name of the player transferred out, and add the info for the new player coming in. And, again, using the copy and paste function for your new player will make this really easy to input. If you want to add a comment in the far right to tell us how smart you are or anything else about the transfer, have at it. This Transfers page is a convenient place to look at who has been picked up, as well as to see who has been let go. You never know what you'll find here!

If everyone will follow these two steps after posting a valid transfer in the Big Soccer transfer thread for our league ((1) update current roster and (2) add transfer on the Transfers page), it should be easy to avoid illegal pick ups throughout the season. Before making a transfer, you can check the current roster sheet -- visually scan the teams for the position in question and then perhaps do a word search for the player and/or for the player's team using the FPL 3 letter abbreviation -- and then check the BigSoccer thread to make sure nothing has happened in the past 24 hours in case there has been a lag in updating and you should be good to go. Indeed, if you've done the above and a player was picked up more than a day ago and isn't on the G-Doc roster, my view is that you shouldn't be penalized (to be clear, you still don't get the player as the official transfer thread controls, but you should get credited for any penalties, but that's just my view and it will be up to the group).

First note -- IF you post a transfer on Big Soccer and know that you won't be able to jump onto the G-Doc for a while, just say this at the bottom of your transfer and ask if someone can cover it for you. Hopefully everyone is on board with keeping the G-Doc up to date and everyone will input most of their own transfers, but the real key is communication.

Last note -- as I mentioned above, I typically use the search function as my final double check, BUT the search function doesn't work if you spell the player's name wrong or if you use your own 3 letter abbreviation. If in doubt, just use the 3 letter abbreviation listed on the FPL site. Or, ask. And, if you see an error on someone's roster, please correct it.

Just did some pretty major surgery to my initial team prompted by Sane's injury, though to be honest even if he was fit the 9.5 he costs eats up too much value for a player who doesn't play consistently. Has allowed me to improve upon the very low value picks I had to make at the end of the draft!

Let the games begin...secretly rooting for the player of the team you despise, and looking for 4-4 draws for all rivals as long as your player gets all 4 goals.

Sane was an another interesting part of the draft. If he's not leaving for Germany, he sure goes earlier. By the time you took him, there was increasing talk about the Germany deal but also word that he was looking more and more likely to play on Saturday. Dont know how much that breaking news figured into your thinking. It was certainly a reasonable gamble at that stage, especially if he might just become a placeholder for a move for Pepe. By the time it got back to me, he had been named as a starter and I would have grabbed him if still on the board. And within minutes after i made my picks that round, he was injured. Go figure.

Good luck to everyone this weekend, and most importantly in light of the above conversation, hopefully no major injuries.

Now.,.... concentrate Kermy ... no Rashford did not score 13 times ?..

.... Rashford got 13 points.... LIV GK got 1 point

Or to make it simpler for you... pretend Rashford has 13 swallows (maybe that makes a summer?) ... and Liv GK has one swallow (which we have established does not make a summer). o_O

I honestly do not know what goes on in Muppetland ?

Oh you were being humourous.... as in GK scoring a goal ?? haha. My bad... I get it now.:D. Kind of when someone hits a golf ball really shit.. and you wittingly say "oh my grandma can hit harder than that"... so that sort of thing :).

On the same muppet page now... I will no longer provide updates on whether Rashford was a better No 3 pick than Mr Allison . I will leave you thread alone now and go an paint some pictures with words over at the Rothmans Medal update. Spolier alert ... my grandma could get more Bonus Points than Allison :ROFLMAO:
