He was noticeably much better when he got into the center today.

I wonder what his loan destination will be. I’ve been seeing Leganes, Granada, and Osasuna as strong possibilities...

Peter Lim wants Kangin Lee in the first team, he doesn't want to give it up. He loves Otamendi. He wants Leao. He wants to run Valencia, Mateu does NOT happen. Marcelino either, does NOT want players who contribute nothing and make a dent in the team.

Marcelino may not last this year.

    ------

More; Valencia players confronted Marcelino on a flight back from Lisbon and asked him not to go/follow Alemany out. They say they've rejected offers, moves away because they firmly believe in the project. There is mutiny potential here...

    he's still too left-footed.

if he ever becomes KNT's best player, his scouting report should advise to man mark him and make him use his right foot

Lim can’t want both Kangin and Otamendi. The team can only have 3 Non-EU players at once. Currently, it’s Paulista, Kangin, and Gomez. If Otamendi comes, one of the other 3 has to leave. It’d be Kangin that goes over the others.

As much as I dislike Marcelino, I think he and his team have been good for Valencia. Mateu Alemany and Pablo Longoria too. There’s finally stability at the club and with good results. 2 straight years in the Champions League and the CDR title last year. For any of them to leave especially just before the season starts will lead to many unhappy players and fans. What a disaster.

There is still no decision on the future of Mateu Alemany and Pablo Longoria in Valencia CF . The meeting of both with the club president, Anil Murthy , has already ended, but as SUPER has learned, there is no firm decision taken ... and the talks continue.

The meeting between Murthy and Mateu Alemanywill resume this Tuesday, July 30 but the truth is that the agreement is difficult. Of course, there is no firm decision at this point after more than five hours of meeting, is a symptom that there are chances that the parties reach an agreement.

Upon leaving the summit at the club's offices, Mateu Alemany spoke briefly to the journalists who were there. Do not miss his words.

Maybe the last year for Marcelino. Who will coach Valencia?

    ----

After a day of great tension at the headquarters of Valencia CF, the general director of the club, Mateu and Alemany, and the president, Anil Murthy, postponed to today making a decision on the progress or not of the first for their disagreements with the maximum shareholder of the entity, Peter Lim. During the more than 5 hours of meeting they held in the offices, Murthy tried to curb the goodbye of the man who has returned the balance to Valencia CF since his arrival in March 2017. The first assault ended without further developments, which was interpreted as good news within the critical situation that Valencianism is experiencing. The possibility that I continued is distant, but at least it exists. If Alemany's march is confirmed today, as well as that of the technical area director, Pablo Longoria, the consequences can be catastrophic, considering that the coach, Marcelino García Toral, would not understand the project without Alemany in sports management. He would probably leave too. And with that, perhaps, some soccer player would ask for his exit. Therein lies the power, right now, of Mateu Alemany: in the union he has created around him and the coach. Club culture that Lim does not understand.

The open disagreements from between Alemany and Lim come from afar. In January, when the club owner had decided to fire Marcelino and the sports director flatly refused. Time proved him right. Just when Mestalla society has found the stability and perspective lost in previous years, when Lim managed the club at will, without the mandatory advice of football professionals, the owner has broken the tune

Mateu Alemany, the man who has managed the resurrection of the team since March 2017, had made the decision yesterday. No one could assure that the coach would continue.

The differences between Lim and the CEO of Valencia CF were evident in the meeting they held in Singapore two weeks ago. The disagreements have names and surnames: Kang In Lee, Nicolás Otamendi and Rafinha Alcántara are the three main points of disagreement. But there are many more. Lim had been proposing signings without stopping for years, which did not pass the technical filter of the Mateu-Longoria couple.

In recent weeks, Lim had ordered Alemany that Lee, newly named best player of the U-20 World Cup he won with South Korea, was an unquestionable piece in the team this season. There are commercial reasons behind a decision that neither the former general manager nor Marcelino share. Too soon, they think, to give him responsibilities in Valencia CF and preferred an assignment. Regarding Otamendi, Lim was willing to return to the team from Manchester City. That meant breaking the salary limit of the workforce, since it would charge more than 6 million euros. Marcellin said "no." Meanwhile, Mateu Alemany had practically closed the signing of midfielder Rafinha, as a natural substitute for Parejo, an option that the owner of the entity has not approved.

Mateu Alemany arrived at Valencia CF in March 2017 endorsed by the president of the League, Javier Tebas, who had advised the club property to incorporate a professional of his caliber to redirect the club's course. This was done by the former leader of Mallorca, who rescued Valencia CF from the hole that Lim had put in with his capricious decisions. Read the signings of Gary Neville or Césare Prandelli to lead the team, beyond millions of incorporations in the field. Alemany's first decision was to sign Marcelino, the profile he needed, he thought, to build a reliable, balanced and competitive set. The result has been a success: Valencia CF qualified for the Champions League in its first two seasons and in the last, 3 months ago, it raised a title 11 years later.

The hug of the captain, Parejo, and Mateu Alemany on the lawn of Benito Villamarín, minutes after raising the Copa del Rey, portrays the harmony between the team and the person in charge of sports management. A tune between staff and the duo Marcelino-Alemany that had been evident in previous dates. Like the day that Parejo went to the bench to squeeze the coach, after scoring against Valladolid, in Mestalla.

The union of the group joins the communion of the stands with Mateu and Marcelino. Breaking it would be disastrous.

The team's captains met with Marcelino yesterday to learn more about the situation and asked him to continue what happens today in the club's offices. Another thing is the decision made by the coach.

    Golden stonecutters

Ferran Torres and Carlos Soler proclaim European U19 and U21 champions, respectively, and Kang In Lee of the U20 World in a glorious summer for Valencian novels

Valencia looks with overflowing optimism at its future after this summer's exhibitions, with their respective selections, of the young stars that it treasures in its squad and that have stormed the international football scene. Thus, soccer players like Ferran Torres (19 years old), Kang In Lee (18), Carlos Soler (22), Manu Vallejo (22), Gonçalo Guedes (22) and Hugo Guillamón (19) have managed not only to increase their medal winners, being decisive with their selections, but shine with their own light.

The exhibition of Ferran Torres with the Spanish team in the achievement of the title of the European Under-19, where he was the author of the two goals of the final against Portugal, and the most prominent player of the tournament has meant the icing on a summer full of successes for the youngest players in Valencia who are called to mark a golden age at the Mestalla club.

The Valencian end has been the leader of the national team and his performances both in the semifinal against France and in the final have confirmed the expectations generated by a player who last season already played a total of 37 official matches with Valencia CF.

Along with Ferran, Valencia has had another asset in the starting formations of the U19 national team, such as Hugo Guillamón, who has formed a partner in the axis of defense with Eric García, although he has not yet made the jump to the first team.

Ferran's performance is another success that joins Kang In Lee's brilliant previous performances this summer with the South Korean national team in the U-20 World Cup, Carlos Soler's with the Spanish U21 team or Gonçalo Guedes with the Portuguese absolute in the UEFA League of Nations.

Kang In, despite having only 18 years, was chosen the best player of the U-20 World Cup held in Poland, in which the talented South Korean player exhibited a brilliant level of play with which he dazzled in a tournament in which Older players were measured.
The midfielder raised in the Valencian quarry was the undisputed leader of the Asian team he led to the final, in which he scored a goal.

Carlos Soler also increased his record this summer after winning the European Under-21 and although he lost the title with which the tournament began, he was one of the fundamental players of the Spanish team led by Luis de la Fuente. In addition to Carlos Soler, another Valencian new brother like Manu Vallejo was also a participant in the success of the U21, although his participation was less in the tournament.

Guedes, the most expensive signing in the history of the club (40 million euros plus 10 in variables), began the path of success for young Valencian talents to conquer the first edition of the League of Nations with Portugal and also be the author of the goal that gave the title to the Portuguese team in the final against Holland. Faced with this situation, Valencia and its fans are excited because they know that they have players called to mark an era.

However, the present and future in the short term is not the same for each other. Players like Guedes or Carlos Soler are already fixed in Marcelino's schemes, while others like Ferran are looking for a greater role.

One of the great unknowns is that of Kang In, who ascended to the first team last winter, although the club is torn between keeping it in the first squad or transferring it to another First club so that it enjoys a greater number of minutes of play and Don't cut your spectacular progression.

A similar situation lives Manu Vallejo, who must take advantage of the preseason to convince the coach. The only one who has no options in the first team is Hugo Guillamón, who will remain for the moment in the subsidiary team.

Personally I disagree, but I can see why people would say that.

I think we can both agree it would be bad for LKI’s development though lol

Jorge Mendes was the broker for Lim buying Valencia and saving the club financially. Since, he's been a major figure behind the scenes at the club (he's also Guedes' agent).

So it's a natural rumor to link Mendes' guy Mou, who is looking for a job, to a major club with a possible vacancy.

Looking at the past 4 preseason games that he’s played in, despite little flashes of brilliance on the ball every now and then, Kangin for the most part has really been struggling playing on that right wing. Even if Lim wants him to remain on the squad this season (like reports have been speculating), Kangin himself really needs to push for a loan if Marcelino is only ever going to try to fit him in that position. He’s just going to get the leftover crumbs of Soler and Torres anyways.

LKI isn't the priority for marcelino, unfortunately. he's not gonna accommodate for a 18yo who isn't ready to start consistently.

it's unfortunate that LKI is a priority for the owner Lim, who won't let him go

Marcelino is a moron. Football is a BUSINESS, and Lee is the best marketing machine they have. If Marcelino can't figure out a way to build a team around him, then he's a moron. They will get rid of Marcelino sooner or later and find someone who can.
