They seem doomed to the Championship.

i think he is better than colaship level, but honestly it might be acceptable just to get him off the chelsea transfer merry-go-round

He has a Chelsea contract through 2022, so I think this would be him taking another ride on the loan carousel.

He's just back paying off a tab.

The comments are sweet though. Seems well liked.

    first off- bummer.

secondly- at what point (price, i should say) do chelsea sell? he was bought for $5 mil, right? do you think (not sure why im asking like your on chelseas board, i just dont have any clue) they would take a break even offer? thats probably out of readings range anyways. but just for the sake of argument, do you (anyone) know enough about chelseas business enough to speak to that? with 3 years on his contract would a break even deal be considered?

cause i have to think 6-8 (which seems reasonable for chelseas investment) it would have to be a lower-mid table side (eng, ger), possibly eredivise, france?

i guess to stop rambling- what do you guys think are rough parameters that WOULD get him out of chelsea limbo?

ps i really dislike our young guys signing deals over 4 years.

Their transfer ban being lifted and an offer somewhere in the $8-$10 million range.

They can sell but not buy right? Not sure the ban would prevent him from leaving.

I don't think Reading is the transfer I'd encourage for MM at the moment. Another good year on loan there or someplace else and he could be in some lower EPL team's sights. And if he's loaned there and they somehow promote, Reading would likely be that EPL team anyway.

Yeah you can leave. Maybe he meant Chelsea wouldn't sell unless the funds were available to use.

If they can't buy reinforcements, it makes sense to sell fewer players in case there's an injury crisis.

They can buy they just can’t register. The name is a little misleading. Miazga has zero chance at Chelsea and will be loaned or sold. Likely loan to get his value up.

Luiz, Christensen, Rudiger, Zouma are all better than him.

Tomori (who started and played nearly every game for Lamps at Derby) and Ampadu (also DM) are younger and likely as good now while projecting much much higher.

Then you have Azpilicueta who could play emergency CB.

Their unbelievably deep at CB. Ampadu will likely play more midfield but even with that they are still carrying 1 more CB than needed. Miazga is and unfortunately always will be an afterthought at Chelsea. He needs to focus on doing well at his next loan then finding a permanent home.

I brought this up earlier, but seriously, what % of time as a Chelsea player has he actually spent at Chelsea? What % of his training sessions in Europe have been for his actual club?

Very very little. I think he had half a season when he first joined.

No way anyone would pay that much, right? That sounds like Prem money for a CB.

He spent the second half of the 2015/16 season with Chelsea playing 135 mins over two matches. Two seasons at Vitesse and a half season at Nantes and Reading.

Probably not. He's still got 3 seasons left on his contract though, and his wages are a drop in the bucket for Chelsea, so there's no urgency to sell without a really good offer.

meanwhile, in the shadows of the incredible hype-train named Pulisic...

(scroll to 3rd pic, great image of MM's Adam's apple leading the run - back in France...)
