  1. Anybody have 2 extras for this game?

(Yes, they are $14 but I don't feel like giving the scalpers or Fire extra $ .... neither deserves)

    Tnx

The only questions remaining to be answered for me are:

How the ******** hasn’t Pauno been fired yet?
Should I get drunk or enjoy a few edibles while watching this game and trying to make cheering for this team less of an exercise in boredom and ennui?

I think you should smoke hash oil and drink some rum. Then when you get to the rain delay you should switch over to watching Pineapple Express or some other random stupid comedy and falling asleep. I found the 5 minutes of the game I watched very enjoyable. I wish soccer would have a triple header at toyota park. That way you might be able to see 3 points once in awhile and could theoretically drive home.

I just recently opened a bottle of Ron del Barrilito that I brought back from Puerto Rico a couple of years ago, so I can make at least half of that recommendation come true with supplies on hand Wednesday night.

Given the team’s performance, it’d probably take a bit more than a triple header to secure 3 pts

OK now I'm paying attention...How is it? Currently my favorite go to is the El Dorado 12 year. I mean the 15 year is probably better but it's an extra $10 and the 12 year is hard to top at the $38 price point.

Agreed 1) bummer that Grand Dukes on Harlem closed.
Agreed 2) bummer about the need to go to Downer's Grove (for any reason).

It's, I mean, damn - it's incredible and at, from what I recall, $50 duty free to get it over, along with the complexity of it, definitely a special occasion rum. I was surprised at the sweetness of it - like a maple syrup/sugar/vanilla/bourbon deal going on, but with a weird drinkability that allowed me to drink it straight just fine. Recommended.

I'm new-ish to rum, so I'll have to check out the El Dorado. Honestly I was fine with just whiskey until trying the Ron del Barrilito- definitely want to see how it stacks up against similar booze.

Well I am still worried but..is it possible that the Fire lose to both Ohio teams at home back to back on a season where the Ohio teams suck? I have to bet with the Fire being victorious tonight. (hopes)

I once accidentally got off BNSF at Downer's Grove the first time I took the train to class by myself. It was an adventure.
Did make it to class on time still, so that was nice.

My journey into rum started with my wife binging through a bottle of Sailor Jerry. I tried it and decided I didn't know what good rum was but was certain Sailor Jerry's wasn't it! This began a quest to discover what good rum was. I'm no expert but asked around and had some interesting bottles along the way. My personal favorites are the aged runs (like whiskeys) they are mellow and drinkable straight. Some burn a little. This guy's blog reviews I tend to agree with his rankings.

I did have one decent bottle of white rum (Barancourt) that had a banana grassy thing happening but quite frankly the older and darker usually the better to me. It entirely depends if you want to mix with it or not and my favorite mixer is a good ginger beer and a dash of Agnostura. Another interesting one is the Pritchard's Colonial rum made with pure black strap molasses. Yummy! Supposedly it's like George Washington's generation drank and I prefer the lighter one. I might have to have some tonight with the game! I currently hold a bottle of Venezuelan Diplomatico Reserva. Not shabby!
EDIT: I forgot to mention my foray into Brazilian Cachaca (slippery "c") was a dead end. Like the rum equivalent of green eyes whiskey. Not recommended!

Rum and Gin are perfect summer boozes. The rum is awesome because you can drink it during brown liquor season too!

The best way to find out what you like to is to make note of what you don't like and look for the opposite :) Appreciate the reccos and the blog link, bookmarked and I'm sure I'll end up down a rabbit hole of Rum searching next time I crack open a bottle.
