Well we just had a CRAZY finish in a USL-1 game. Lansing and Madison tied at 1, going into 4 minutes of stoppage. Lansing scores in the 92nd. Madison scores to tie it again in the 93. Lansing scores again in the 95th. 3-2 final. Unbelievable end!

I can't believe MLS scheduled games today. I mean let the USWNT have their day. Parades! Speeches! Lawsuits!

    Thx,

    Jay!

The tropical storm in the Gulf is projected to stay to the east and will likely not affect the game in Houston on Friday night but it will be very hot and humid. The forecast shows 93F at the 8 pm CDT kickoff with temps only falling out of the 90s at the very end of the game.

Lots of flooding in Louisiana from the storm so our good fortune is their bad luck. We'll be thinking of our neighbors over there.

Why didn’t LAFC play their cup match on Tuesday since they have an away league match on Friday?

Gonna be tough for them tomorrow I imagine.

Portland had a MLS game in NY on Sunday. They probably nixed moving the game away from Wednesday.

Eagle-eyed viewers may catch the name Jennifer Garner at AVAR in Portland this week. Not the actress, although she IS married to long-time MLS AR Adam Garner.

As I said earlier this season, our results were greatly outpacing our ability ... meaning that we were getting some very fortunate points. It was only a matter of time before the 2 things (ability and points) started to re-align with each other.

Friedel: I knew I had good players!!! The fans must have or at least threatened to cut them in the parking lot after I resigned.

Burns: Why did I ever hire Brad?? Friedle and Feldman! Why didn't Bob ever spend money when I asked???

DC will finish no higher than 6th in the East and should be a decent bet to miss the playoffs.
