[There’s also speculation that with the Crew’s acquisition of the right of first refusal on a player, the club is targeting a player who Toronto had the rights to. Per MLS roster rules, it would be a player that left Toronto for another club on a free transfer after Toronto made a valid offer, or a player outside MLS that was on Toronto’s discovery list and received an offer from Toronto but elected not to take it.] Walk me through your issue with this paragraph. And I truly mean it in a "listen, I get you have been around for far longer than me with regards to just about everything." So what did Toronto not hold? Again I would enjoy a lecture from you on roster rules any time, any place. I would even buy you a stadium beer.
Wrong. There will be a Caleb Porter Masterclass at San Jose on August 3rd and everyone will take turns smacking the hangthadj pinata. It will essentially be our MLS Cup.
Might upset you to know that they have 0 intention of getting rid of Caleb and in fact believe that the issue is the talent on the team. Lots of guys are "USL" players who will not be here next year.
If you would have had us wait on cleaze last year, then we may have had to pull some folks from a cliff. Might? You just ruined his year.
No, Padula's is Sporting Padula, which was originally Schelotto and Padula Academy, I believe. I don't have any inside info, but I don't think there was a falling out so much as Schelotto took a head coaching gig and didn't have the time to actively participate. It doesn't upset me. It's been covered often that nobody really expects Porter to be fired this year. That doesn't change the fact that after making the playoffs 4 out of the last 5 years Porter has presided over a historically awful stretch of soccer inheriting the same roster. What upsets me is the level of play, the excuses, and seeing other coaches and teams around the league doing so much more with the same or lesser talent.
Exactly. James gets it. Think this. Except instead of candy coming out maybe little bottles of Beefeater fall out, much like every time TSA unzips my carry-on before I board a plane...
I played for a few seasons but was so horrible I stopped. Thought about getting back in but then all the Fratass McTrustfund crap started and I didn't. Maybe it's time to get back in.
Last season was the first time I had ever played, and I had loads of fun. Though, Geeg (@TownKrier) played so that was a lot of my enjoyment. Our weekly text banter.
