An early start (7:00 pm) Friday the 12th. Pay no attention to the standings, NE is surging, with a seven-game unbeaten streak. They just signed Argentine league and Club Tijuana attacker Gustavo Bou, who may not have his paperwork in order for Friday's match (let's hope). The return of not one but three former DCU players/coaches (Arena; Onalfo; and Richie Williams, who left Loudoun FC for Arena's staff in May. Also, the return, I presume, of Paul Arriola, who was sorely missed. With Acosta out, he will be counted on for some attacking energy. Will Benny put Stieber in the lineup again? Sadly, it's doubtful, with the favored Segura available, but one can only hope.
My guess is that the Front Office probably is trying to cash in on the Women's National Teams latest World Cup championship.
Hmm... no Acosta, and we don't really have a like for like substitution... Should we maybe look for the empty bucket with Canouse and Durkin in the midfield... Segura and Arriola on the wings. and find a partner for Rooney up top?
I would go with last weekends line up with Arriola replacing Segura. I am guessing Segura replaces Yow and Paul starts on the right though.
It means you're supposed to take your mom to the game, and eat some apple pie, all while draped in the flag.
Goff's probable lineup includes five defenders (Mora; Birnbaum; Brillant; Jara; and Pines) plus MFs Canouse. Moreno, Rodriguez, and Arriola, with Rooney as a forward. If this is accurate, expect Jara to play as a winger on the attack with Arriola roaming, or with Arriola at left wing (where Berhalter plays him) with Rodriguez doing his best Acosta impersonation. Apparently Bou flew here with the Revulsion, but it's not clear his paperwork will be completed in time for him to take the field tonight.

Arena with the edge over the pupil Olsen...well at least New England has currently pushed Toronto below the playoff line
