    Sounds like a rec league.

    Maybe they can add Turlock.

It's not "major league" but all four teams are playing in 5,000+ seat arenas.

Don’t get me wrong, the reason I mock startup leagues like this is that I would love to see a true professional indoor league thrive again with major sponsors and a solid future.

I hope these small regional leagues start up and form a league similar to what the USL has done and feed a true MAjor professional indoor league.

Notice I don’t consider the MASL a true professional league but they are what remains of indoor soccer which did have hope back in the early 80s.

Did this league fold or did they just decide not to update their website.

Found a story in a Wichita Falls paper hinting at upcoming playoffs. But nothing from the league.

They are still playing but Lubbock ended up playing all their games on the road.

Sounds like a recreational league trying to sound larger than life. Wow

    *hisses*

Oh, that's not a good sign for a league when a team is forced to play all their games on the road since they couldn't lock down a venue they were supposed to play in.

That was not even in the top 10 warning signs.

No, because the league was so ramshackle to begin with and had no backing only four teams in small markets with no experienced leadership. That's four signs right there.

USAPSL teams should just emerged with the MASL. Having two professional indoor leagues play is stupid. I know they play at different seasons but it never works out.

That would actually make the MASL weaker, not stronger.

Just because there's another sh**** indoor league doesn't mean they deserve a merger. Little pissant leagues like this are no factor.

Weaker, wow they must be doing really bad (USAPSL). MASL only averages over 2,000 fans. I really don’t know much about the spring/summer soccer league but if they can’t average close to what the MASL then no, I do not want them to merge with the MASL.

In the MASL's defense, they have some solid teams that have been around for some time (in Milwaukee and Baltimore's cases, quite some time) and can draw a crowd here and there from time to time.

This...whatever this is...is a fly-by-night collection of teams that's not quite as robust as your average arena football knockoff league.

Goody. That's what MASL needs; more Turlocks.
