what the everloving hell are you talking about? how is what im saying about morales rubber stamping our idiotic history of players having a lifetime old boys club backstage pass?

im saying this one guy who, ok, i guess has a decent enough shout for a call, while bs has lost its collective mind in blowing him up into this balon d'or candidate "we" (meaning- let me be clear- NOT ME PERSONALLY) refuse to let play?

is this one of those men made out of straws i keep hearing about?

I have no doubt that LD could be much better, if he had the strong desire and mentality to continue to challenge himself against the best in Euro. He could have been our first world class soccer star.

Or this, or that, or.......3G have no clues what he's doing.

Has he won anything in his entire coaching career? At least Bradley and Arena did.

I just rewatched game. Man, Pulisic was so wasteful. Kid needs to pick up his head.

Tight game. We kinda deserved a goal.

    Ref was on their side.

Can’t wait to play them again.

Nobody is saying Morales is Pogba or whoever. Morales is a competent 1.Bundesliga CM who should have been on this roster and could have come on for Bradley at minute 60, or better yet started, allowing the USMNT to very possibly win the stupid gold cup.

"Some fans wanted Berhalter to call up Werder Bremen striker Josh Sargent for the tournament, but reports claim that Sargent was not fully fit and did not want to return to his club in less than perfect shape. Fair enough; the Gold Cup is not nearly as important as continuing development for a 19-year-old, and having him continue to improve will be key for when the U.S. begins qualifying for the 2022 World Cup next March."

Did anyone else hear such reports? I'm on record as saying that the complaints about Sargent not being in the GC will stunt his development to be nonsense, but this'd be the first I heard of such a thing.

1 - This coach needs to learn to use Pulisic better. I called this on the coach. Pulisic is an attacker, let him attack. Don't tell him to defend and waste his energy, you got 10 other defenders out there. His system is shit.

2 - Goals don't score on their own. We just needed to finish better, that goes for Jozy and Arriola.

3 - Ref sucks. Goes both ways. THere should have been a few yellows and a red.

    4 - You bet.

When you play against a team like Mexico or Honduras, you need to have some nastiness. Did you see that Mex kneeing Jozy when he was on the ground? Did you see that other Mex kicking the ball at Pulisic while he fell? Our players need to watch some Sergio Ramos' tapes and pick up a few tricks.

I think the Morales vs. Bradley/Trapp argument (I’ve noted it before, and I know at least one other has as well) largely fails to acknowledge the fact that Gregg has been married to a system that Morales cannot play in as the 6. He is not a regista in any way. He’s a pure destroyer. He’s like a much more athletic Perry Kitchen. Not a world-beater but a much, much better defender than Bradley/Trapp.

I think it’s more appropriate to treat the Morales debate as a microcosm of the GGG System > Pool Pragmatism debate.

Actually, Morales is the answer to a very simple question.

Who would be a better alternative to Bradley/Trapp/Roldan in a match right now against quality opponents?

Hmm. Egg's system did not work against the only decent team he played. I hope he learned that.

And Tyler Adams at RB would not have averted that failure.

I agree that Berhalter got outcoached in the 2nd half. Fortunately, he has an easy path to correcting his weaknesses. All he has to do is read all of these posts on Big Soccer showing him the way and all will be solved.

Maybe he can even kick the ball (by Ochoa) for Jozy?

“We gave everything we had, man,” an impassioned Reggie Cannon said postgame. “Everything we had. Every ounce, every day, a month-plus. We gave everything, man.

“That’s why it sucks. ... It just hurts, man. Just watching them lift that trophy. ... I gave 150 percent to that game. And the outcome was still like that.”

I really like this kid. Their coach failed them. These kids do deserve a better coach.

This is nonsese. It's MLS/SUM trying to cover their asses after a major embarrassment.

3G went out and clearly stated he did not rate Sargent.

yet, when Dusseldorf was getting destroyed in a Bundesliga match the coach then put Morales as the Sweeper to both sure up the back line and to distribute the ball. The coach recognized the bright spot in a pile of doo for that game.

Morales was in an intensive battle to be a 90-minute starter for a surprisingly strong mid-table Bundesliga team.

neither Michael Bradley or Trapp would play for any team in the Bundesliga right now.

Are these the same "reports" that Fabian Johnson was "done with the USMNT".

I think the only reports that are true, which actually everyone is afraid to report about ..(except canales and Conrad,) is that Bradley is a Golden Prince.

here we go again, the talent pool is now weaker than ever nonsense. too scared to call-out the internal corruption.

Berhalter was: "but he was handicapped by one of the weaker sets of players to choose from in recent memory"

On Michael Bradley: except that there really isn’t anyone ready to replace him.

Meet reporter Luis Paez-Pumar . inducting into the Ass-licking group.
