I would hope that the threat of playing USA in the next round will entice ES to aim for victory against Honduras. It’s at Banc of Cali so you better be at the game ;)

As for Nicaragua, Renato Punyed is probably wondering if snubbing ES was the best choice haha

I wish the Salvadoran clubs would look into some of these Caribbean players and bring them over instead of opting for over the hill South American players.

Same boat here. Nica’s players getting prostitutes shows a lack of credibility and a lack of maturity. & Bermuda is actually showing exactly why we lost to them. The only thing is like i mentioned before, their lack of ability in the final 3rd is why they weren’t able to get the points they needed.

I’m gonna try, kind of expensive tickets lol

Renato is one of their best players. But tbh i think him choosing Nica was good for him on a personal level as i don’t feel he is better than a single player we have in his position.

No different to Haiti and their French league players, how often do they beat us? Lol

He’s no longer a Wanderer, signed for a Saudi club a few weeks back. Is he in the squad though? Saw that he played in that tournament in Asia but his latest Instagram posts show he’s back in Australia.

The difference is that none of the Haitians play in Ligue 1, but rather lower French divisions. Didn’t think Bonevacia left Wanderers; he is listed as a WSW player here.

Never thought I would see us winning a group in the gold cup, hopefully it happens

    impressions from yesterday game:

team looked worst on offense when alas came in for portillo.

other then being shorter on avg the Salvadorans players looked fit and built

bonilla had no service, he lashed out several times at tammates in frustration, I dotb blame him

we always seem to miss the final pass for shot on goal, was so frustrating watching it live

when #21 trip by himself on the break the whole stadium was pissed lol, real deflating was good shot at scoring.

defensively they look alot better then prior teams, more effort being put in defensively

game was boring, hardly any shots at goal from either side

Agreed. Went to the game last night. It was a bit boring. The heat was awful in the stadium and the play was cold. Neither team looked that interested in scoring. More looking Satisfied with a draw. The fans were great. A great environment and turn out. Everyone looked like they were having a great time and well behaved. Was a great experience but sadly the game did not provide a lot of excitement. I hope you guys in LA get a better show.

After the competition is over I believe think time call it a career for Jaime and the NT he’s too slow for the style that DLC wants to run (also his crosses suck). If they scrounge up any friendlies Bryan Paz, Pineda, Portillo, Oscar and Bonilla should be your key guys that you always call up as the guys up top. Defensively depth is the name of the game and Xavi Garcia is another name I would put out to pasture. Is it cruel yes but those two in particular are past it.

A Panamanian player, Abdiel Arroyo, got signed to an A-League after impressing this far in the Gold Cup. Just makes me wish our Gold Cup players would perform better so an A-League team can sign one. So far I’m not really wowed by another of the players who ought to go abroad. Roberto Dominguez?

Bit of a pointless post, but I just wanted to say something lmao

Jamaica has tied with curaçao 1-1
If El Salvador wins then they win the group, a win or draw will see them advance to the knockout stage

Honduras has been the more dangerous side so far ugh. We need to find a way to score to make them desperate.

Wish it weren’t like this but I knew that Honduras would play hard today even though they are eliminated, The team has not convinced me at all on offense only one goal this entire tournament is crap.

Wonder what excuses the Feds will bring to the table, also I would go in on DLC and his constant “Were not obligated to route teams.” That’s what cost us in the Nations League, I would say it cost us here as well but that would be an insult to Curaçao who played admirably.

This result should be expected. We have not looked good at all. And now suffered a humiliating defeat. This team is not good. Coaching is not good. DLC is suspect at best.

That streak we went on was just luck I guess, 1 goal in 3 games is not acceptable.

In all honesty I’m glad curacao is going thru, they deserve it more than ES

My username is for moments like these.

It's a giant waste of time to follow this soccer and national team.

I've abandoned following the players abroad and I'm close to checking out with it all period.

damn what disappointment, just reminds me of what my dad said bout the team. He said the team is made up "montones" basically saying there's no star player they are all the same.

major disappointment but hell after all these years its really what the fans are used to unfortunately

Just do what I do, support Australian soccer first. Put ES second.

Or in your case, support the nads and your local MLS side.

They beat a couple weakling sides and lucked itself into a win against Jamaica. As for the Peru game they were the better team but counter attacked them perfectly. Unfortunately they will probably go with those past result to keep his tenure going well that and I doubt they can him the rest of the contract if let go at the moment.
