Ertz' injury is not good. Hope she recoveries quickly.
EDIT: Just saw her jogging with teammates before the match. She looks OK.

Why does Jill Ellis always start her comments with: "I mean, yeah..."

It is compensation for incomplete thought. It is like so many of our verbal delaying tactics that are used to allow our minds to catch up with our mouths.

There are people that do not use such tactics like Charles Barkley. Phil Jackson once said, "I just love Charles Barkley, you can see a thought form in his mind and the pass right out of his mouth without ever stopping in between."

The best public speakers, particularly those that seem to be the most spontaneous ones, do not verbalize the delaying pause they just pause and think but usually they think very fast.

    1-0

Horan from a Rapinoe corner that trickled across the face of the goal off of a Mewis deflection

Goal stands after some deliberation about something. Maybe interference with the goalkeeper.

Well that was fast. Deliberate low near post ball set play, or good reaction by Mewis to deflect that in front? Horan just good reaction and lucky to be in the right spot to be the one to make the finish.

Comment from my youngest granddaughter: What's with Rapinoe's hair? It looks grey. Is she trying to look old?
BTW: 1-0 US Horan off Rapinoe's corner.

They may have been reviewing for offside. She appeared even in the last still.

Sweden squad rotation is so severe it may have ruined this one. Not sure Sweden have the depth for this.
