I bought gas for my car today. Current gas price is $2.85/per gallon which if my calculation is correct is €0.85/L Maybe you ought to move over here for cheap gas!!!

It's official, Sinkgraven off to Leverkusen on a four year contract. I hope he can stay injury free and get his career on track.

  7. I heared Ajax is offering Neres a buy out clause that's limited in exchange for an extra extension of his contract, something like they had with Ziyech.

Correct and we'll see if he accepts the offer. If the club limits the losses to de Ligt and Ziyech they will still be quite strong next season.

DeLigt to PSG is not a move I want to see.
If not Barca I would prefer Liverpool or Bayern Munich although I believe they’re no longer in the running.

I am not a fan of Calccio or Italian football, but if I have to choose a club for de Ligt it would definitely be Juventus.

First, Juventus seem to be really keen on winning the CL in next few seasons and I believe they have all the resources to do so.
second, he will play under Sarri, one of the finest coaches in the world, who plays attacking football and can help de ligt develop.
third, his starting position is nearly guaranteed and he would be the leader of Juventus back line in 2-3 years.
finally, he will probably play under Guardiola in 3-4 years from now.

A lot of those over on the Juventus Forum would disagree with this statement!!:D They think the club made the wrong decision.

I gotta admit Sarri’s profile is far from impressive when it comes to Calccio. Well, also not that good in CL :D:D.
I admire his football though . His playing style is pretty much Dutch.

After one season he's got more money a normal person can spend in his life....so not really a strong argument;)
Unless his wife turns out to be a big spender.

  15. If that's a motivator go to China for one year...oh, wait...Ajax wants a hefty transfersum...forget it.

Are you kidding me?? One year's salary is not nearly enough to live comfortably on. deLigt is offered 12 million at PSG, half of that will already go to the taxman, so he's left with 6 million in his 1st year. 6 million you can spend very quickly, especially if you wanna buy a nice house in a good neighborhood. And then of course there are all your other expense on top of that.

3 to 4 years at PSG would be perfect for deLigt if he wants to be financially stable quickly

The trick is to make as much money as you can, and at the same time play in a reasonable competitive league. China would probably pay him the most money, but he would play in a shitty L. which would probably mean he'd never get selected for Oranje again (see Tevez)

  18. That was the ManUnited/Barca offer. PSG offered 15 million.

Best move is for Overmars to offer him several million Euros to stay with Ajax one more season and put a hefty release clause in his contract. He gains nothing by moving to PSG whose league outside a couple more teams is quite mediocre.

  20. The only league that offers more than 4 top teams is the epl with 6 plus 3 very good teams. Spain has 3 plus 3, Germany 2/3 plus 2, France has 2 plus 3, Italy has 2 plus 3. So in my eyes nothing wrong resistance like with PSG.

I have not been following the De Ligt saga, but am curious why Manchester City hasn’t been much mentioned...? Are they out already? With the departure of Kompany, seems like they could use a new defensive anchor.

I don’t care much on City... probably no different than PSG in many ways (oil-rich club with tendency to get “flavor of the day”) - but given the options, playing for City is more favorable the fact EPL is much more competitive than Ligue 1 (PSG). Also, I think De Ligt would highly benefit from Pep’s coaching. Pep likes his team to play with intense focus and quick movement... growth areas for De Ligt in his rapid ascendency.

Well they do have John Stones!!! My understanding is that the club does not want to do business with Raiola. Current thinking is they are going to pick up Kalidou Koulibaly from Napoli.

EDIT: Good thoughts on ESPN FC about what clubs de Ligt might go to and it includes ManCity:

Gotta say, I love your optimism. But........no!
We're not gonna win that CL next year, even if he does stay.

Enjoy last season for as long as you can O14, cause its not gonna come back around for at least a few years
