Not even FEF has posted anything on Facebook. They know they’re gonna get shit from everyone.

We should have done a lot of things but i dont think keeping Rueda would have been one. We would have still been keeping a lot of old players in this team Montero for one. Would have he rebuilded this team and gotten a classification to wc a second time? Doubt it pretty hard to do too. Probably would have missed by one game at best.

Emelec would have gotten farther in libertadores if not finals and won. And villacis probably would have made quinteros coach again after Rueda and we probably would have him now if that were the case. With a more cocky Quinteros.

I really wish Egas could make a change and make it quick. Bollio was the worst decision of all. Were stuck with a couch who will really hurt us both keeping and getting rid of. Who is a coach we can get for close to nothing really quick? Should we take Celico away from Panamericano and Juegos olympicos the clean up this mess and give him a second chance to most likely set him up to fail ?

Should we apoint Bauza in a mess like this or get a scape goat and wing it with Insua or Ischia till we can recover from these mistakes.

Just bring back Chiriboga. He may have been corrupted as hell, but at least we weren't the push overs of south america.

    Prison break anyone?

In all seriousness, we are the trending meme. We can have Pep as coach, but if these are really the best the country has to offer in terms of talent, we are done.

Ecuador has talent but we need a coach who's willing to rebuild the team from top to bottom and not just call players because they've played on the NT before.

#anythingbutbolillo team here. The past administration is why we are struggling right now. They left FEF broke and hired a coach at the time when they were on the way out. Bolillo hired shouldn’t have happened at all. Now we are stuck with this terrible mess and it needs to be fixed soon. I don’t want the U20 talent to be tainted by Bolillo’s mediocrity.

I’d take Paúl Vélez above Bolillo any day of the week to coach the NT. I bet he wouldn’t cost much and can drive the team during this transition phase. He might not get Ecuador to the next WC, but he could definitely help Ecuador play much better.

Villacis stated that Bolillo was the cheapest and best option we had. Thats BS.

Now Egas stated that he has no intentions of firing him he said he doesnt want to take a rash decision or do anything hot headed to stop our current process.

Truth is there is no real process here with Bolillo Egas will be screwed either way. Id love to make Velez coach but if he fails it will ruin his career he will be back to playing for small teams going unrecognized.

I think he we were to fire Bolillo mid Copa America or after and have no money we should pick Insua or Ischia scape goats that will do way better than Bolillo but wouldnt matter if they failed.

That's nothing new, we make these terrible decisions and then stick by them until we're mathematically eliminated from the WC, then it's "Ok, Ok, we need to make a change"

A Bolillo le van hacer la camita - ya lo veo señores. A ese equipo no se le vio vida, ni animo.

Shame, Bolillo didn't deserve this kind of comeback.

Aside from Liga I don't really watch el campeonato nacional, are these really not the best players we have to offer?

If we can just hold for a point here then hope for a tired Japan team we might at least make it out the group... Trying to remain optimistic here.

Ecuador stinks. Gruezo really great? Dude misses so many passes that end up in counter attacks. Seriously can’t wait for the U20 kids to start taking over. Everyone in the midfield has to be replaced. They all suck.

That’s what happens when you count on players like Achilier. You know what their history is and how they play. That dude has to be one of the worst defenders I’ve seen and I don’t get how he gets called up. What a horrible player.

If Bolillo isn’t fired after this cup, the new management can kiss my ass. ******** them.

To be fair, the team showed massive improvement over the Uruguay game, I know this sounds mediocre but lets be serious, with the players called up this is as good as we can hope for, in my opinion we had some bad luck Tonight not that its an excuse but guys lets face it, tge way Quinteros left this team, this will be a long, hard road to becoming competitive again.

I think I know what Bolillo is trying to accomplish, he is attempting to create a team by filling positions with players he believes he can mold to his vision, that means he is not calling the best we got to offer in certain positions, it worked with him once but that was a time when Chile, Peru, Venezuela, Bolivia and even Colombia were at a much lower level than they are now.

Regarding our players, I cant help but feel that just about an entire generation didnt fulfill their destiny, some names that come up are, Luis Caicedo, Andres Ordoñez, Kevin Mercado, Pervis Estupiñan, Carlos Gruezo, Cristian Penilla, Erick Castillo, Bryan Cabezas, Cristian Aleman, Cevallos Jr, Cifuentes, Esterilla and many more are players who I thought were going to achieve a higher level of quality, sadly, injuries, bench, transfers and many other reasons has left that bunch in mediocrity.

What Im worried the most is that for some reason our agents are enjoying negotiations with the MLS and thats bad news so Im fearing that players such as Jhegson Mendez and Xavier Arreaga are headed the same direction.
If Bolillo stays he needs to keep searching, Dario Aimar, the Julio Brothers, Marcos Caicedo, Cuco Angulo, Sornoza, Cazares are players that deserve a chance, if you ask me, I dont think we have any chance to qualify for the 2022 World Cup, I hope Im wrong.

Bollio is still far from being the coach Ecuador needs. He needs to put in serious work we dont need excuses or poor mentalities. Stating that we came here to learn is something I know even our players didnt really appreciate especially from seeing the U-20 team.

Telling our players there nothing we can do in. 3 - 0 game and let them watch the ball. Telling lets go out there and not get scored on is not what we need.

I dont think out players are the issue here. And lets stop shiting on mls for a sec almost every southamerican national team calls an mls player.

On paper we have a team execution is whats missing motivation.

    Banguera
    Valencia, Mina, Arboleda, Ramirez
    Orejuela, Gruezo
    Ibarra, Cazares, Preciado
    Enner
This is what our team should be. We need to utilize 10 in our team. We need a coach that will make these players live up to their potential. Bollio will never bring this out of our current gen of players.

Julio brothers are in a fantastic moment! Why weren’t they called up? When they don’t play, you can clearly see that Liga struggles immensely! When they play there is a clear improvement from the whole team. It’s pretty rare to see that much improvement when one or two players show up.

Like you guys said, there is definitely talent in Ecuador this current generation. Plus, soon we can start incorporating the U20 guys as well. There needs to be a coach that can take this team to the next level or at least not interfere with their development. Bolillo’s mediocre attitude is what is the most dangerous thing about him and can be contagious for players. You can see it in the field from players attitudes in recent games. One can also see that he isn’t a good strategist at all. Both Uruguay and Chile just owned him and guessing everything he threw at them. What is his vision? He has none at all, and calling players he thinks can “mold” to his mediocre play (defending the whole time and kicking the ball to Valencia) was disastrous.

Ecuador has a very important decision soon to make if they want to be considered contenders in the future. Keeping Bolillo will be a huge mistake that will have huge repercussions for many years in the development of Ecuadorian fútbol. Bolillo was a good coach 20 years ago, fútbol has evolved past his skill level long ago.

If Ecuador could call up Marques next year, it would help us form a solid midfield. I'm hoping the U20 boys get consistent playing time in their clubs so they can be called up for the NT too.

It's time to bet on the next generation and stop relying on players who are already past their prime.
