Napoli could afford it because we have a lot of cash (120M) and we will be selling players for at least 100M and James would just be a 10M loan.

It just does not make sense to buy James and Lozano and have Insigne, Mertens, Younes, Callejon on the bench too.

Also, we would strengthen the attacking players but again just rely on Milik? Unless Lozano can play upfront instead of Milik I don't see the logic. Or Insigne is on his way out.

But that makes no sense. We need to players like that. Neither can play all games. We have no one else in the squad with those characteristics.

If we did that, we would have to sell Insigne and Callejon. But we would need to strengthen the bench.

    I can't see that happen.

For me, if you're bringing in Lozano, I'd be moving Callejon and Mertens.

I know y'all are attached to Mertens, but the guy is 32. Make some money while you still can, I'm tellin' ya.

I don’t want to hear his name or talk about him.

He joins the list of Ferrara, Cannavaro, Pecchia and Higuain.

Wonder what the Sarri-worshippers are going to say?

He could have joined any club but choose our hated rival. I wish him nothing but misfortune and bad luck with Juve.

To be honest, I don't really care. We will see how he does. I didn't expect him to be that career-driven, Higuain-like ratticism, but at the same time I guess it doesn't surprise me now that I think about it. I had just thought that he would have waited a bit more time, to at least come in a new era or sth. But there he is. At least it'll be interesting.

In a way, he has taken a big load upon his shoulders. Now like 80% of Naples will wish him nothing but failure, the kind where you happen to be the 1st coach after 8 years to actually fail to win the Scudetto, or anything, for that matter.

Perhaps he has joined Juve to sabotage them. Hh, maybe even the arguments between Sarri and DL had all been a ploy to put this elaborate plan in motion. :D

You need to have an experienced player on your team that you can call upon every so often. He is more valuable on this team then selling him off for 10 mil or whatever price he is being quoted at. He is also much more intelligent in his play and with Younes we have our Lorenzo replacement.

I don’t think he is trash. Just that he can be replaced and we can good money for him. Younes is more than an Adequate replacement for him.

Younes is good and has great potential but he is not yet good enough to replace little prick. Maybe in a season or more.

Younes is gunna be 26 in a couple months. He's literally only 2 years younger than "little prick"

Jesus, just give Roma Insigne if this is how you guys feel. We'll gladly take him off your hands.

If he did not have that injury he would of played more games. As long as he can do more than run down the flank, cut in from the left and either take a dumb shot on or screw up a cross then he is more than an upgrade.

You have not watched many Napoli games ? All because he does some YouTube highlight real moves once every 6 months does not make him great. The guy acts like a petulant child. Sarri on multiple occasions had to put him in his place. He is also probably the most predictable player on the planet. Most of the time he shoots I’m always guessing a miss and more often than not he does. The amount of stupid shots he takes on is ridiculous. I don’t think he ever gotten near to doing what he did at Pescara here at Napoli. That’s also where people get the idea he is some fouriclasse player from.

@Il Ciuccio please stop bro, Manolas is so much better than Albiol it isn't even close. Also Younes is good yes, but he's not on Insigne's level in any part of the field. Younes is a cheaper version of Insigne. Cmon man let's be real.

Yeah and once his speed is gone what good will he be? It’s best to cut him now than later. We can do better than Manolas I also don’t think he is coming to Napoli. The guy more than likely wants to be on a team that is going to win something. Unless Sarri makes Juve’s wheels come off we are not going to be winning anything.

If they sign James, Napoli will have done their first significant signing since Higuain and Koulibaly.

It is the biggest signing after Higuain since ADL has come. Koulibaly was not famous.

The difference is that Higuain was replacing Cavani but James would just be strengthening the team.

Not in a million years would I have thought Napoli could have a team like that. Scudetto time?

If we have to sell its gonna be allan, right?...
Players I wouldnt mind leaving too:
    Milik, diawara, Ounas

Insigne is staying if we get a name like James I think

You would bench Zielinski and Di Lorenzo?

I think the team has three main shortfalls:
    1. We need a proper striker. Mertens cannot play there in Ancelotti's system. Milik is not good enough
    2. Malcuit is average and should not start
    3. We have no depth in midfield

Ancelotti will either play 4-4-2 or 4-2-3-1.

I would sacrifice Allan if Zielinski and Fabian could be the midfielders and just go out for a major title win.

    ICARDI/Milik
    Insigne/Younes-JAMES/Mertens-LOZANO/Callejon
    Zielinski/BENNACER-Fabian/VERETOUT
    Ghou/NEW-Kou/Chiri-MANOLAS/Maksi-DI LORENZO/Malcuit
    Meret/Ospina
