Pulgar and Tomiyasu will be their starting CBs?
I hope Mihajlovic will keep coaching them cuz he is the good coach for hardworking and skilled guys as Tomiyasu.

Maybe Bologna can snatch Honda for free from Brescia as well since he have a good relationship with Mihajlovic, I think. Of course, I think the chances are low lol.

News report that 6m fees been rejected? Sint Truiden wanted 10m at least.

And there at least 3 other clubs want his service.

Sorry, I had missed your post. Yes. I think they will announce him on the 1st or 2nd of july. Either way, he was in Bologna today.

    Ok, he did it.
Now, if there's a place worse than the EPL for a japanese footballer that's Serie A.
Even worse if you are a defender, hugely worse if you are a CB.
Probably only the gk (as Italy has a good tradition of top gks) is in a worst scenario.
If he succeed it will be historical and it will open doors to others asian CBs in Serie A and then whatever league in the World since no league is more defence oriented than Serie A.

Who knows, if he does not perform well, they will probably convert him into a DM, but then again Tomiyasu as a DM thus far from what I have seen is not that good either.

He is a very big talent and played almost superb in any competition as a CB and played with his young age a Asia Cup and a Copa America. Italy is harder then other Country's for Japanese players, true but its still football and he has guts. He will be fine

Lets hope it is true. I hope Tomiyasu performs well as well, could possibly encourage Italian clubs to look at Japanese players when thinking of buying players on the cheap, especially when a lot of the Serie A teams are not in a very good financial position lately.

Either way he has 3 weeks of holidays to spend now.
Don't expect him to start soon as he'll miss a good part of the pre season (which starts on the 11th i think for Bologna).

The problem with Italy is that they have really restrictive non-EU rules.

Unless that changes, I highly doubt we’ll see Italian clubs buying Japanese’s players instead of Brazilians or Argentinians.

I just looked it up, every team except Lecce has atleast one Brazilian. Even if Tomiyasu is successful, he won't be able to change that.

Unless Tomiyasu is good enough to make the rules change.

    But Nakata himself couldn't.

    Wait, who cares.
Even w/o that rule italians will think "brazilian unknown random guy >>> japanese professional young talent" and that's a fact.
They see a brazilian or argentinian kid as a lottery ticket: you buy it, if you are lucky you become rich, if not it doesn't matters, try again the next time.
Anyway Bologna was one of the worst team in the last season, Tomiyasu is not joining the like of Fiorentina/Udinese or better team, he's joining a Hellas Verona level team (to use Lee experience as a comparison) with the "handicap" to be asian.

Bologna isn’t Hellas Verona, not by any chance, they have good players such as Destro and Pulgar.

They finish the league in the 10th place last season, higher than both Fiorentina and Udinese.
