My lad finished 5th & only touched his side once , doing 3 xfers in November. So did well to accumulate 61pts, losing 3rd on points diff. Doubt if he will be back next year.

Just to let everyone know I have a (large group) family holiday booked between 15th - 29th August and there is no way I will be able to communicate during that time. Hopefully I can still take part. Everyone here knows I am usually very available during the draft but I'll have my privates cut off if I'm hanging around on my phone on this holiday unfortunately.

 

The first game isn't until the 9th so I have no problem with that, last year it was a fast draft.

 

Should we target 1 August?

 

August 15-29 would not impact the draft, just any weekly moves.

Man I am way off with the EPL schedule!!

I blame our annual pain staking attempt at climbing the insurmountable summit of Champions League group stage utopia... which, even if we somehow manage to cheat death, defy the footballing Gods and stick two fingers up to the super rich/elite will all be to no avail anyway as we will get roundly trounced in every single group match.

Ahh... gotta love the never say die optimism of the humble football supporter as the fresh season fast approaches. I can begin to smell that wonderfully greenish, slightly fuzzy underfoot living organism that all we all love to run, slide and bash our fists off when that last minute totally undeserved equaliser goes in!

Does nothing for my hay fever either mind...

I'll be on a Europa League downer by then anyway.

 

I like August 1st. I'll be glad to set up small rocks and organize the draft unless anyone else is desperate to do so.

1 aug is good even tho im away for 2 weeks but have internet (wife is now used to it lol) - cant wait !

 

With people going away we should probably start league arrangements/invitations.

 

I'll be gone July 25-30 without internet but will check back once I'm home. Aug 1 would be perfect for me.
