Anyone have some info on how day of tickets at the box office work? Can I save on TicketMaster fees if I pay on the day? And are the day of box office tickets still mobile only? Thanks
Not 100% sure about the fees day-of - but I do not believe there are extra "convenience" fees. They will tell you that the tickets are mobile-only and will ask you for your phone # so everyone around you can hear it - but I'll be at the box office getting mine printed out - so you can likely get them that way too if you ask - especially if you can hold up a non-smart-phone.
This time I actually won't be able to watch it. I'll be in Pittsburgh while my PS4 is back in Westminster, MD. Damn work!!!
@onefineesq? FWIW, the last Open Cup match ticket did not have fees, but I don't recall if I did that through the team's portal into ticketmaster or in ticketmaster with the proper discount code. NYCFC was quick to advertise $10 tickets on their twitter account.
Great question, to which I don't have an answer! I was going to buy tickets at the gate for the Jamaica international on June 5 (which you know, and is why you pinged me here) but I did not actually buy at the gate. Later on that day, it seemed that all the cheaper tickets in the midfield area were dwindling fast. So few remained that I didn't want to risk not getting a sideline seat, so I bought online for the Jamaica game. I do plan on going to the USOC game though. I haven't looked at ticket prices, but last weeks USOC game was general admission. I am positive that this weeks game is general admission too. As such, there is really no reason to buy in advance, as it doesn't guarantee you a better seat. Walk up and take your chances that it avoids you the ticketmaster fee that I am SURE you will have to pay if you buy online. That's what I am going to do.
I used the STH email link and it first went to Account Manager, which makes you go to ticketbastard - which listed $20 + fees. Then I closed the window and went back to email and clicked again - this time it brought up the $15 no-fee choice. Technology is grand. fwiw, I ended up getting parking passes in the lot just barely south of the stadium on 2nd St - not sure how they'll act when I a) show up at 4pm instead of the 6pm the parking pass says, and 2) start drinking behind my car once they let me park If they don't let us drink in the lot, I'm heading over to the DU area. Does anyone know if Vlad and the other EchaPonza (sp?) guys over there as well? I know they sound like they're nearby at the very least. Hopefully I can drink somewhere without spending money at a bar.
Wednesday's gonna be weird again. #DCU https://t.co/f9piXk4L37— Jason Anderson (@JasonDCsoccer) June 17, 2019
Thanks guys. Maybe I'll test it out on Wednesday. I'm not a STH so the direct from club option isn't available. Ticketmaster fees on the $20 online sale is $4.25 per ticket. Not earth shattering but why pay em for a game with Audi probably only 1/4 full?
The tickets on the portal do not have fees, if you enter the code Barra you get the option to buy tickets for $10 flat.
I would get there real early because there also is a Nats game that night. In other words, a human zoo of massive proportions complete with a good complement of Phillies fans. If you want to get a seat, use Open Table for a space at the Salt Line. All Purpose does not take reservations and IDK about the Beer Garden.
Nats washed out tonight and they rescheduled for a split doubleheader Wednesday. So now Wednesday is Nats at 1, then Nats again and DCU both at 7.
How many guys do they have on international duty? I hope Durkin plays 90 (or 120 since it is an Open Cup game and we like to give the few fans on hand an extra 30 min)
If I was in town I might go for a tripleheader. The Nats will definitely still be playing once the DCU game ends.
The Natinals and United at the same time was already gonna be a cluster******** ... the extra afternoon game can only make things worse. Might be the only time I want a quick exit after a United game (as mentioned above we should be able to beat the baseball fans leaving, assuming they aren't getting blown out again)
Wasn't there a clause in the Audi Field agreement with the District that there wouldn't be simultaneous baseball and soccer games? I swear I remember something like that.
I believe the phrasing was "every attempt will be made" to not have games at the same time or even the same day. So, really not a real "rule" just strongly-worded encouragement
