It's officially official. Sarri is Juve's new coach, signing a contract until June 30, 2022. https://www.juventus.com/en/news/news/2019/maurizio-sarri-is-the-new-juventus-coach.php
Unlike the Allegri appointment, I'm massively disappointed with this decision. I don't believe this team will get to a CL with Sarri as coach and think he could even bottle Serie A. Massive disappointment right now that's killing any enthusiasm for a new season.
Can't wait for Sarri to get rid of Cancelo so he can bring in Hysaj. Also looking forward to the Jorginho rumors all summer.
This. f*cking. c*nt. I've always held Allegri's hypocrisy, when he accepted the Juventus job, against him. Sarri's makes that look like absolutely nothing. This f*cker can choke on his cigarettes.
Sarri doesn't want Higgy. Higgy says he won't play anywhere except Juve. Going to be interesting. Salah says he will come in a year or so. Perhaps that means Klopp is coming????
Not thrilled with this hire, but primarily because I refuse to believe this was managements first choice. If he WAS their first choice, we are in some doo-doo IMHO. HE IS NOT AN OBVIOUS UPGRADE OVER WHAT WE HAD. If he wasn't their first choice but we got rid of Max with no upgraded successor lined up, we may be in deeper doo-doo. At any rate, he is now the coach so I will give him time. However, it is the Triumvirate at the top that is now ON THE CLOCK as far as I am concerned. First they overruled Bepe on CR7, and then they pushed him out. Then they canned Max only to hire a guy Max beat every year they played. Let's see what this group can do with this transfer window. That will tell us a lot about whether they are up to the task or not. So far the negatives seem a bit higher than the positives. BTW, it appears Nedved and Paratici are the driving forces here. AA has put some distance between himself and the Max decision. Wisely, IMHO, cause if this blows up in their faces, we could have 2 new directors in a year or two. Chiellio could well be one fo them.
Sarri will do well with Juve. I was the one who said Elliot Management would be holding on to Milan for a while and no we know that Elliot will look to sell in 3 years.
Really happy with this one. Welcome Sarri! From Empoli only 5 years ago to coaching Cristiano Ronaldo
Not a huge fan of this signing, but the guy likes to play aggressive so I’m all for that, especially with the type of talent we have. We do need to get better on defense and midfield and wing play because Sandro isn’t it!
Napoli’s budget is half of Juve. The whole fact in 2 of his 3 years Sarri almost beats Allegri (putting odd referee decisions aside) shows how much superior he is. Napoli also played much better. Not sure why you are complaining.
Who won? That is what matters here. "Playing better" but losing? How do YOU define "better"? Anyway, I said I will give him a chance but he is not a clear upgrade over the man who won 5 straight Scudetti.
Just a reminder Sarri took over a 5th place Napoli side and within one season raised their points tall from 63 to 83 points. From his first season onward he increased Napoli's point tally all three seasons til his final season in which he pushed a far superior Juventus side all the way, ending the season with 91 POINTS in total. To put it into context, the Napoli of this season with essentially the same squad aside from Jorginho, coached by Ancelloti who is universally highly rated coach, didn't even break 80 pts this season while also crashing out of the Europa League to Arsenal of all times. The same Arsenal side which Sarri's Chelsea thrashed in the final. All in all we should just at the very least give the guy a chance before cussing him out and calling for his head.
Yeah but Sarri sacrificed Europe, while Ancelotti did not. That is the difference. Napoli did get humiliated by Arsenal, and I am not sure why that is, but they did play bad that game. Overall though I felt Ancelotti's Napoli did much better in Europe and at least got more wins in Europe. Napoli's problem is no squad.
Keep in mind as well that Chelsea is way superior talented wise to Napoli regardless of who coaches either team. Chelsea has the better players. Period.
Lol in no way are Chelsea way superior to Napoli talent wise. If anything i'd give Napoli the edge on paper.
Ancelloti did not sacrifice Europe yet he ko'd in the gs and couldn't make it to the semis of the Europa league..... Unlike Sarri he didn't sacrifice Europe for his title race, instead he was forced out while competing on NO fronts at all!
With Sarri coming in then Cancelo is out and we bring in Chiesa? It be a huge waste of money if we brought Cancelo for a single season! I’d say let it play half the season and see how he does, and if he can’t prove himself then loan him out to an EPL team because that’s the style of play he succeeds the best at. Man this team will be complete if we had Pogba, I just don’t see him coming over with Sarri leading Juve, but who knows. ManU is out of the CL and Pogba wants to be on the spotlight.
Why not. Is there conflict between Pogba and Sarri? If we get Chiesa, we would be great!!! However we would have to sell some players like Cuadrado and Douglas Costa.
???? Are you freaking serious? Lets compare player by player. Ospina < Kepa Koulibaly = Rudiger (This is a tough one, and both are fairly good and could even be considered world class, I think its pretty even. Maybe Koulibaly does have the slight edge). Albiol < David Luiz (Neither are that great honestly but David Luiz is slightly superior). Hysaj < Emerson Mario Rui <<<<< Azpilicueta (I feel Azpilicueta is underrated, he is very aggressive defensively). Zelinski < Kante Fabian < Jorginho Allan < Drinkwater Insigne < Hazard (Also a very tough one, but Hazard has the edge and is more flexible tactically). Mertens > Giroud (I will give Mertens the edge on this one. Giroud is very inconsistent). Callejon < Pedro Chelsea even has a much better bench. I don't see how you can say that Napoli is better talented wise than Chelsea.
Good lord. Do you even know what you are talking about? Drinkwater done his achillies and didn't even get minutes for Chelsea before the injury and Koulibaly is 10x the defender Rudiger is.
Because Chelsea has a great squad. Drinkwater is a good player and was very key to Leicester's win in the EPL a few seasons ago. Rudiger is a really good defender and is pretty quick. I said Koulibaly is more consistent and has the edge, but Rudiger is a very promising player who has impressed. He even got a starting spot in the German national team recently.
