I had no idea that Renato Punyed chose to play for Nicaragua, he might have been better waiting a bit he is still young.
Acosta to Honduras makes sense, he was born and raised In Honduras and they are in a much better position talent wise. I figured that for him it was always USA 1st and Honduras 2nd.
Yeah but Nicaragua are irrelevant football wise, I know that he plays in 2nd Division Norway but he is still 23 and has more plenty of time to make the jump to a better League. When the World Cup expands El Salvador has a real chance to qualify for one of the spots, Nicaragua not so much.
So what happened to Eriq Zavaleta? Didn’t he accept a call up and then back out. Dude is never making the USMNT same goes for Alex Roldan so it will be interesting to see if he will be interested to play for us.
Who knows maybe he really wanted to represent Nicaragua. IIRC he was trying to get in talks with the Nica coaching staff while Primi was in charge and everything was a shit show. As for Eriq he’s full of bs I guess he thought he could use us as leverage to get called up and it didn’t work.
Renato was born in El Salvador and ES is in a much better position than Nicaragua I have no idea what Zavaleta’s deal is. He’s not getting any younger and USA isn’t interested in him. He did initially accept a call-up to ES and later backed out. Alex Roldan is still young so I’ll give him a pass. Zavaleta and Amando Moreno both just need to stop f*cking around and accept the ES call-ups.
Well Renato is no where near the level of Acosta but I get what you are saying. Also Acosta switched from the US to Honduras, The US didn’t want him and he didn’t want to wait. Alex is not as good as his brother plus he is too old to be part of the U23 I see him in the same situation as Eriq.
No. If people don’t WANT to play for ES, then no. Cmon, we have multiple players that can reach that level that want to rep ES. We have those two players that play for Levante who want this. We have players in ES who can go abroad and play better than that.
Just reading an article today that one of the U23 players who sadly is now out due to injury is playing in an academy over in England.
You can’t mention England academies and not give a name or source <_< Who are the Levante players? They probably play at junior level, nonetheless.
We literally only have like 4 homegrown players that have reached that level, Pineda, Flores, Ceren and Zelaya who has yet to play this year. The problem is that we don’t have many players going abroad right now, the only thing that can possibly change that is a deep Gold Cup run.
ATENCIÓN: Guillermo Rivera confirma que este legionario no seguirá en los planes para sub-23. Acá los detalles. https://t.co/9pnyknyMrK— EL GRÁFICO (@elgraficionado) June 16, 2019 This list his name but not what academy he’s from all it says is England.
Well that was easy. Jordy Vasquez, a Californian of Salvadoran & Guatemalan descent, is at the I2I Soccer Academy. Jordan Vásquez, el salvadoreño que entrena con ex jugadores de la Premier inglesa

Team looks lackluster. Not having Pineda out there and others leaves the team empty. Damn Been awhile since ES had above avg players in the national team.
So far the subs are working out. But I think the key question will be why start El Ruso Flores over Mayen now when you could have done that in any of the friendlies leading up to today, it makes no sense.
Curaçao leave a ton of holes on defense yet our guys couldn’t take advantage, it was a Mediocre performance.
Yep, it was. Will be going to the game Friday vs Jamaica, hopefully they put out a better performance...
