This is the "non-USA" thread for the match! As I mentioned in the other thread, I am curious to see what Christiane Endler can do (if anything) to stop US shots. She seems in good form.
She may be tall but she doesn't look very good. Poor positioning on the first goal and that was really poor on the second goal.
No VAR needed here, sadly: Guerrero's position was clearly off-side from the FK and, although I don't think she touched the ball, she surely "disturbed" Naeher, who anyway came out very badly. Anyway, these late flags start being really annoying!
Not a fan of way VAR is implemented. If going this root to remove human error we need an AI algorithm applied that makes decision and notifies ref within say 2 seconds of incident for them to review
Why does anyone but US players gets Yellow for elbow to the face? Doesn't matter that it wasn't voluntary from Ertz: the consistent call so far has always been to punish that no matter what. Also, I guess everyone saw that the USA scored from a CK that should have been a goal kick instead...
Serious question, how is the Chile goal offside but the Australia v Brazil goal wasn’t offside? I’m happy both were and were not goals but I don’t understand how they are different? If Alyssa touches the ball would it have been a goal? #askingforafriendactuallyformyself— Laura Harvey (@LH1505) June 16, 2019
