Maybe Pulisic missed too many games this year due to injury

Is that the one that started last year where Pulisic was runner-up after Mbappe?

It's a calendar year thing, so I'd assume it's 2018, not 2019 (since calendar year 2019 is only halfway done).

Sarge Sr. needs to get a better job, perhaps... (I have no idea about the list to be fair, I'm just a chronic re-poster.)

If the rumor is bogus then it's "but I couldn't find a Weah... so I settle for one day... to believe in you... tell me lies, tell me sweet Lille lies..."

Frankly, I'd be surprised if anyone stronger than Nantes is seriously interested in him.

Personally, I'd be happy for him to go somewhere like Nantes. I think Weah's game is good, but it needs some fine-tuning, and it'd be difficult to break into a starting 11 of a big-budget team as a 19/20 year old who struggles with consistency.

(To be clear, I think Weah has a very bright future, and I think he'll be a key contributor for the USMNT. I just also think he needs more top-level minutes to sharpen his game before reaching for the stars. I think he's flirting with an EPB/Miazga situation.)

That's what I mean by seriously interested: a team that intends to play him and develop him, not just freeze him with the reserves, give him one shot when he's not match ready, then discard him.

He needs first team minutes somewhere in a top 5 league. Some mid-level team in Germany or France would be great.

Or if PSG wants to use him in the Chopping-Mutton role I'd be fine with that. But he needs like 1000-1500 pro minutes one way or another.

Yeah honestly the perfect profile for him is really like a Schalke/Napoli/Valencia/Sevilla/Everton type club. Someone that isn't going to be in any danger of relegation, but competes often for Champions League places or at the very least Europe. Those clubs take chances on youngsters because if they pan out they have super successful seasons and then they sell them for big money and do it all over again.

And yes I think he's good enough for a club of that caliber to take a chance on him as a rotational player getting at least two to three starts a month.

I mean to be honest he's kind of a very similar prospect to Altidore when he was at that age. Not that they were the same player, but I think a 17-18 year old Weah could have scored 12 goals in 3 appearances in the 2007-2008 era of the MLS.

Athletic, Tall, with a knack for some willed goals. Neither of them are poachers. Both are/were decently raw.

The hope is that Weah makes that leap, but honestly a floor of an Altidore club career is not the worst thing in the world. Jozy has been very nice for the national team. People are just very critical of him because of what he could have been.

it could also just be that he took the easy road because of his connections and settled in MLS.

2019 Altidore could do BIG things in my opinion on a Mid-table Bundesliga team, and help future American players get jobs on that specific team.

Its why My favorite players will always be Jones and Dempsey because they always took the harder road and the bigger challenge, time after time. True Leaders.
