I have no idea what to expect out of this.

Another week of practice with the current team that is available for selection, Atlanta coming off less rest and having to play extra time, our tepid performance vs Pittsburgh not giving me much confidence, but Atlanta will play in a way that will lead to a more open game...

Yes, we didn't play well against Pittsburgh. But the 'hounds had absolutely no interest in moving more than 50 yards away from their own goal. That's very hard for any team to break down. Atlanta will have at least a passing interest in trying to score a goal. Hopefully our defense is up to the task of stopping them. Our offense will have some more space in which to operate which may make chance creation a tad easier.

We'll have no choice but to play our best possible 11 again, so that's nice. The Santos experiment at #10 is likely to continue. I'd love to see JJ Williams from the start. Afful was not good in his return. So many turnovers, against USL-C competition. He was rusty but bad. He has to shake that crap off. The crosses to no one are bad enough, but his combination play was really bad.

Anyway, they're better than us, but the game is there to be won. Hopefully it stays dry, thinking of bringing the family to this one.

Other than that, I expect to see pretty much the exact same 11 and 18 that we saw vs Pittsburgh.

 

Did he badly miss a PK?

 

I'd be curious about Francis, if indeed has been practicing at full speed. But, yeah, I'd like to see JJ over Mullins. We desperately need some size in the attack.

 

Is Atlanta missing anyone noteworthy besides Josef Martinez?

 

Glad our new overlords can make decisions without letting too much sentimentality get in the way.

 

i wanted to say win PKs. But we don't have Steffen anymore. And our PK taker is injured. And we have very little other offensive firepower.

We're screwed.

Still have this feeling we'll win this one, but going head over heart here. We just have too many players out. Good guys fall 1-2

Oh, I get it. Moderating the discussion of a bunch of self-important assholes who all think their opinion is the most correct and their version of the truth is gospel is neverending thankless work. But, without a little ballbusting every now and then they might join the self important masses that they're charged with mediating.

I'm in Spain for this match for a little vacation. Any idea on how to stream this one?

 

I know the games are on ESPN plus, but I would be surprised if you could watch it in Spain without a VPN blocking/adjusting your IP Location.

I do not know how to do those things, I just heard those are words people say when things like that are asked.

South stands last match. I don't wonder if the FO looked at those who used tickets, and then gave them a better ticket pool for this one. Sec 128. Row 2. Yowza. Never been that close to the pitch to watch a match before. Of course, it will be raining, so not everything is roses.
