Watching the 3rd place match place match right now. Extra time 2nd half. Italy 0 - 1 Ecuador (scored in 1st half of extra time Richard Mina). My initial observation, from this match, is that Italy has strong defense but mediocre offence, with no shot on goal from field of play. Ecuador is playing like they did against us in the semi finals, strong offence and ok defense. It should be noted that I was watching the WWC England v Argentina simultaneously and the U20 stream cut out from time to time so I did miss fair chunks of the game and may have missed some of the more nuanced play. However it feels if Ecuador goes on to win this, its would be a fair result. I then got curious about how good Ukraine was compared to Italy and watched the below clip the other semi finals). From that I would cautiously say that Ukraine has just as good defense as Italy if not better and just as good offence as Ecuador (of course a different type of offence). Conclusion, its no fluke this Ukraine team is in the finals, just as its no fluke South Korea is in the finals. Ukraine is going to be a hard team to beat.
I dont wanna feel like I did when we lost in the final for the AC and when Son lost in the final... Losing in the final is the worst. Let's win this..!!
Do you think Korea has a good chance of winning the final? Popov won't be there but the match will remain difficult
Who knows. Football is football. Korea is in the final for a reason and so is Ukraine. I personally think it will be a one goal match.
Hard to predict on this one. But korea lose to Ukraine in a friendly match before this tournament starts with a score of 1-0.
yes they lost 1-0 against Ukraine in March of this year but in this match kangin lee had not played and we know how he can make the difference. then for the final the two will give it all to each other it will be different from a friendly
http://www.kleagueunited.com/2019/06/u20-world-cup-final-preview-ukraine-vs.html?m=1 We forgot to mention Ukraines goalkeeper Andriy Lunin who is going to be an absolute stud. Huge reason why they made it this far.. Hopefully our boys are up to the task.
After watching my Juve lose countless CL finals and the disastrous 2015 Asian Cup, finals really make me feel queasy. Winning this would be absolutely huge, get in boys! Cool to have a compilation of our path to the final, but the way they write '슛~' following the ball makes me irrationally upset.
This will be a tough match. I keep on reading that the odds are slightly in Ukraine’s favor but we shall see. Both teams have never won this before so they’ll both be hungry for the victory. I won’t be surprised if it goes to extra time like Ecuador and Italy did.
A 3-man back line should be used to occupy their striker and have "spares" to deal with the dangers of a high line. If Ukrainians are on average slower than Koreans, this should work well.
I’m going to be an optimist. Today is the day KJM is going to make up for performing poorly all tournament. He’s even going to score a goal! Speaking it into existence.
