We need an Oscar Tabarez to mesh our young boys with the NT. It's now or never in terms of rebuilding our NT.
Can someone step up and play a good cross or something? Jeez they are right there but can't make that final pass.
It would just be our luck too that Plata and Alvarado would have horrible games each. With that said, I'm extremely proud of the boys. They need to keep growing and hopefully make us even more proud in the future.
Proud of these kids for getting this far it's a great accomplishment for these kids with humble backgrounds to make it this far in a WC is very impressive.
No luck today, still proud of these kids. Every single one of them showed up throughout the tournament and contributed. They played hard and with heart. Bright future ahead at least and this will push Ecuador in a new direction as well. Heartbreaking loss though ugh.
I came across this video on YouTube and the guy in the video said this should be our lineup for the Copa America next year (which I just found out about today lol). Would be nice to establish a base now with several players and allow them to get used to each other. However, I would start Alvarado over Ibarra and Orejuela over Quintero.
What a bittersweet U20 ending. I can't be mad at the boys, but F&*(**, it's frustrating to have these good runs and never having anything to show for it. Such a talented squad deserved more.
In the End we still went home with a metal. Hustling like that vs Italy was an accomplishment on its own. We sent Italy home empty handed. Did this team deserve more yes. But still a historic accomplishment for this team an Ecuador.
Historic day for Ecuadorian fútbol. Huge accomplishment as well vs very tough opponents throughout. I would am 100% sure this team could have won it all if we won last game. Now to watch the NT on Sunday...
