I hope he stays at RB and gets to the next level with Nagelsmann going into Euro 2020.

seriously game should be like 15-0, lol.

I do agree this is a chemistry building exercise, I feel we need more steel on the defensive side, otherwise were a fast counter away from being done again

FT 8-0, which included 2 goals declared offside. No on the 1st offside but yes on the 2nd one.

    good confidence booster!

I've always had doubts about defense for Germany but never the feeling that it's this bad like I feel now. I feel like our cbs just don't make you confident when they play.

Well when you look back to 2006-2011 basically non of our CBs did inspire confidence. This changed when Hummels and Boateng took over. Before that we had Lahm but the rest was a mess. Friedrich, Mertesacker, Metzelder dont you remember?

even your Friederich, Mertesacker, Metzelder were able to beat Argentina in 2006 and 2010.:D

It's not just center backs it's the midfield also, we lack physicality and leaders, I reckon sule is top class

could be why we played Goretzka in midfield. Even uptop there is no physicality.

as for leaders just like WC18, I see none.

no they didn't. They actually all made me at the edge of my seat the whole time. Sometimes, even felt like I would get a heart attack at how bad they were.

still fond memories of Friederich scoring vs Argentina in 2010 WC, lol.

To be fair, the 2010 team defended superbly as a group and played quite a low line

lol add Estonia on our growing list of countries who suffered their greatest ever defeats.
    Biggest defeat
    Finland 10–2 Estonia
    (Helsinki, Finland; 11 August 1922)
    Germany 8–0 Estonia
    (Mainz, Germany; 11 June 2019)

while we gave so many countries like Argentina, England, Portugal, Brazil, Saudi Arabia etc their biggest ever defeats at the WC as well.

Were Romario, Bebeto, Ronaldo, Villa, Fabregas complete forwards with aerial ability? Maybe not

So for me the big difference from WC2018 and last night was that yes Germany also played against South Korea with 10 men parked at the back and 70% ball possession, but the big difference was the speed at which Germany played and the one touch passing and in very tight spaces.... that was lacking at the WC. At the WC the played a slow passing game and yesterday it really felt they played faster... yes It is only Estonia but still like the speed and agility they had last night... kudos to them....

Lets see how they Perform against better team like Holland and N Ireland

    Yeah - interesting

This is also why it's funny that people compare Germany 2018 to Guardiola's "sterile possession"

City in the last 2 years play very quickly and vertically when they need to.

2018 was a complete tactical failure from Loew - he went in the opposite direction to modern trends when there was no reason to do so. It's not as if the players he had needed to play such a slow game either.

I agree the team moved the ball quicker, maybe something to do with Kroos' absence. ;)

The team does need some more steel/physicality for when things get tough, another 2 or 3 players like Sule would be good. The guys a monster.

Agree, the offensive side of the team looks excellent, but against better opposition we need to be more steely

no point in that since I see, the only person not worth interacting with got red carded.......which is telling.

I'm curious to see what we look like vs Argentina in the Fall.
